Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I was about to one of my worlds to work on it, then I notice that my beta only world was on and there was a few people were in it. I enter my map and I see this in the chat:
TOOP most importantly said:
"1 purchase - infinite coin doors for example."
"It would have to have compensation for those who bought a lot though... Give a good amount of gems proportional to what they bought."
"I gtg do some graphics in a sec though"
I sent him a PM and he said he's talking about these ideas with the other devs and would like your input.
What do you think?

Wow this is so cool thanks Toop
Really? Why are you so "excited"? He's also a person. He's not God or something. He just has an orange name and the capability to ban people...
Back on topic: Anyways, I do like the idea that Toop is finally asking the players of their opinions before uploading something that can kill the game.

Buying infinite blocks? Sounds cool to me.

time to buy coin doors

This is nice and i think they should go for it but what about the Builders' Club's main feature of having infinite stuff then?

The compensation better be worth it. I am fine with receiving a lot of gems... however if he deletes my 1000 coin doors, 500 portals and 250 invis portals which are basically 'infinite' then I am going to be very mad. I want gems equal to the amount the infinite blocks will cost for these 3 things in particular.

We need infinite of all items and effects!

Don't do anything stupid and complain if it didn't go the way you expected it just yet. Nothing has been decided (or even discussed).
No u.

I kinda like it, but then again it just seems like a bit.... easy.. You could do something like 5000 energy for infinite coin doors, or 1000-ish for 30 coin doors.... This is just an opinion. Also if you do it I think just coin doors is fine.

I don't think the players should be refunded.
Say if I bought item X from a store 10 times. I spent 10$ on 10 of these items. Many others have done the same, and bought more or less. The store begins to give this item away for much cheaper, and it costs $1 to buy infinite items. Everyone now has infinite items, including the people who have spent much more than I have.
If I go back to the store and want to refund it, they won't refund it because it's almost worthless (i.e costs $1.) EE is a monopsony (one seller many buyers) this might not apply.
I would suggest lowering the energy needed to purchase 50 portals, so that more players can buy a supply that would suit their needs.

I'm not going to lie, I'm sick of hearing demands for compensation.
If you go to a store and buy something, then a few weeks later they lower the price, you're not going to go back and demand they compensate you. It was your choice to buy stuff at a certain price/conditions.

Gonna have to agree with this.
Although, If anything is given out, I'd say the people with X amount already purchased should receive the new "infinite" thing for free. The rest of the users who didn't have enough would have to buy it.

Keep in mind the forum represents a minority of the ee community. Not the whole community demands compensation.
In my opinion making these items infinite removes the ability to feel progress when you already bought anything else. Maybe just higher the amount you get per buy.

JaWapa: "[...] The infinite would be bought with gems."
I actually dislike this idea a lot. It just makes the game even more freemium. And that's uncool. Please don't do this.
----------------------------------------
EDIT: Let me explain why: A lot of people wan't to complete things. Finish them. Maybe it's a game or a collection of clothes, cars, cards etc. At the moment we can get almost everything for free (in EE), but things which are there to support the game, limited editions & bc.
Now if you add another item, which we can only buy by $$ following happens: There are going to be players which want to buy it, just to have the feeling of completion, and they are now forced to spent real money. If you wan't to turn EE even more into a money milking game, sure, this would be the way to go. But I thought we've left that path with the new staff.

Sorry to go OT here, but where I live if you buy an item and it goes on sale within the next three weeks, you can actually go to the store and ask for a refund, and then re-buy the item at a lower price. It's kind of a d1ck thing to do, but my brother does it all the time.
On-Topic: I like the idea of unlimited blocks. Seems a bit problematic for people who had spend gems on items though. Doesn't seem fair if a single person spent maybe 100 gems on action blocks, but then all of a sudden infinite blocks were free. I rather like Jawapas idea:
I think before we suggested having the option to have infinite, and being able to buy them progressively.
The infinite would be bought with gems.
Of course then again, this would still break BC. So, why not get rid of BC (refund anyone who has bought a membership within a month of the update), then maybe do what Jawapa suggests, and then re-add beta as a separate purchase hm? You can also make the BC auras buyables for gems too. This way you can still make a profit while making new blocks more accessible (at least for people who have money or win contests : P )

Okay, then infinite could be bought with gems and a decent amount of energy.
Maybe you could also make it so, people who have spent an 'x' number of gems on items in the past can just be given certain infinite items free based on their past purchases. You could do like a post-update survey asking players to fill it out if they feel they should be re-compensated for past purchases.

Agreed. Just suck it up and live with it.

I just want to mention Hexagon's idea, I can't find the link of that thread, I think he deleted it.
I was about users beeing able to ''sell'' back to the shop what they don't need/use anymore, this was a great idea, there are maps, smileys and items that sometimes we don't use anymore, after a long time (years) we change our minds, it would be great to be able to make some space and get some energy back and the most resold items should cost less energy as Hexagon said. As an example I have decorations I never use, almost 11 empty maps I never plan to use since 300-300 were created, music pack, never used it, I was curious to test it but I don't use it, etc. It would make items more accesible for everyone and replace the need to add infinite items or compensations. Think about it, I was so bored when the game almost died, I got 500 coin doors and there are few others...that did the same and got more than that. You need a ton of gems to make everyone happy while ofc no one will consider the compensation fair enough.

If you get infinite stuff from buying stuff do people who already bought stuff get stuff? Like I got beta a few years ago - would I get infinite stuff/the compensation?
