Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Command Block

A block where, when a user touches it, types out a message into chat like a user. Appears in chat as * BLOCK:

With this, not only can you make the block make announcements whenever a user touches it, but you can also make the block do commands.

Possibly make it so a command block can type multiple messages on touch, so, for example, it can announce "%username% has won!" right as it /resets

It would add rudimentary bot functionality to the vanilla game, opening up a ton of possibilities.

Re: Command Block

This would fix all my level ideas that require either a bot or manual command typing. The sign codes (%username%, %deaths%, etc.) would become much more useful than they already are, because it would open up plenty of new possibilities if you thought about it too hard.

Re: Command Block

You should have some sort of wiring too, with delay switches, comparitors, hoppers, chests, mine carts and mods you can add on!

Re: Command Block

it should rather be something like a command effect, that you can put into all kind of blocks, so people don't have to forced to use that one certain block. And also it should not be spammable in chat when touching the command block multple times.

Re: Command Block

I have a lot of Minecraft command block experience. If these were to be added, I could do literally anything I wanted by chaining hundreds of them together.

How would they be useless? It's not like bots wouldn't exist with command blocks added.

Re: Command Block

It'd be cool if we had a place block commad (unless we have already) so we could make things like universal switches and etc. etc.

Reminds me a lot of FST teams private client. Anyone remember that command allowing you to add your own key words? When a player says any of these words something would happen, like teleport player or say a message.

There is a lot of creative and artist minds out there that would be able to create a lot of fantastic levels with this feature that they wouldn't have otherwise. Mostly because of lack of coding knowledge.

I support this idea 100%!
