art defender, vote for your rights

Ok I had enough of this guy, *SMILIS*, he promised once he won't copy art/levels anymore, it seems he has no word and won't keep his promises. OK!   let's ask rules against this, I know its just a game but we paid for our accounts to own our stuff, our levels our art! So who is with me, ask your rights! If you don't care about your time, your work, your account and your stuff, don't comment here, I don't need to know that "he likes my levels", I know that. I like Bee's levels too and MANY others but Im not stealing them!

Dazz is certainly not a creator of sprites, instead he uses high quality art. An example of this is his halloween contest entry, 'Full Moon Rising'.

I don't get how smilis copies though. As in, how does he get every block right? Does he have godmode or something that allows him to access every bit of the map?

+1 Since I don't want my levels to be copied, nor anyone elses that has a good level. We should implement Copyright into EE :3

there should be a rule against this (this isnt important but im also tired of seeing my forum logo copied *looks a few posts up*)
but yeah Ive had a long talk with smilis to and he said he'd stop... I guess he's noobing again :/

I most definitely agree with this topic. I have had several experiences with plagiarism of levels before.

Plagiarism is illegal according to the American law, so what makes plagiarism in Everybody Edits any different? No matter how you put it, it's stealing.

I think 1 level copied should result in a warning, and 2 or more should be perma-ban, because those who take credits for other peoples work are nothing but thieves and liars.

I remember one time someone copied Galaxy and put the code at the end. Too bad he put box minis in them.

i had a copier once he stole 3 levels, i went into his world that he copied and i scared the life out of him, by saying i was a mutant killer zombie that knew where he lived so if he copied another level i would eat his brain :3 he was only 10 so it waseasy to persaud him...

I sneaked in to Smilis "EX Crew" level while he was editing it. Let's just say that I scared the living hell out of him and he probably won't copy anything ever again.

If he does it again, PM me the evidence.

just a few remarks:
I did scare him 10 times already(in last few months)
He doesnt speak English very well, so dont expect him to understand

Yet there should be a report level feature so it can stop copiers, spammers ect.

How about ban Smilis instead, then when he tries to make a normal temporary world for a guest, it gets deleted

When you have some immature people in the game it would be a extreme nightmare for administraters to get the reports from other people
