Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Coloring system update

As You can read here, their is about to be an update to the coloring system used in ee.   Namely, those that show up on the minimap.   Apparently, each color displayed is going to be an average of every color on that block.   This is serious for those of us with levels with any sort of art on it.   Even the slightest change could mess up the art.   ...For every crew map ever in EE is going to be artistically destroyed.   RPG assured that he doesn't believe it will be that much of a change, so..... I'm posting here hoping that before this update occurs, we should at least get a little preview of how exactly it's going to affect previous maps, and so that we have somewhat of an opportunity to save previous levels from getting destroyed.   This is a change that will affect everybody in ee, so I'd like to here your thoughts about this future update here.

Re: Coloring system update

I don't really understand the new system so a preview would be nice indeed.

Re: Coloring system update

I agree with this 100%, I don't think they should change the colors of the minimap at all

How bout the newer colours get that system but the current minimap colours stay the same?

I always thought the colors were picked like they will get picked soon...
I don't think it will be big changes, but a preview would be really nice.

I would be fine with this, or maybe everyblock gets replaced with the closest shade in the new update automatically?

^^I think that would still be the same blocks, it will only be very little differences.

you may leave the topic now, stone. We all know what you say about anything new so there's no need to post here.

I like this idea a ton. It sounds doable, but I doubt Chris would take the time to program for that to happen.

On topic, I think that the art won't be ruined, because 'Shy Guy' (?) said that the colors won't change much...

No I'm pretty sure that was Chimi :3

Anyways, I don't really care about this update. Most of my worlds don't really depend on art.

Re: Coloring system update

I'm not really a big fan of art levels, so in that case I'm just fine with this coloring system revamp. Hopefully it won't ruin other artistic maps, though, which would be a huge disappointment for some.

Re: Coloring system update

Let them do what they want with EE. I don't care anymore. And I don't think others does that either. I guess EE is going down to it's end. EE isn't fun anymore. It was fun around 2010.
