Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Intended usage is to limit how many people can be in a given area at once. Aside from using a bot, this would be the only way to prevent co-op worlds and things like Megaman Dash (back when it used keys) from being exploited.
Cross between a global switch and a crown.
A switch that, when you touch it, toggles its associated blocks - for everyone - and sticks to you. You can't toggle it again while it's on you, but it would reset its associated blocks and go back to its previous position once you leave the world.
Like any other switch, these would have their own IDs.
The clingy switch would not reset if you die, only if you leave.
If you have multiple clingy switches, only the first one would be shown on your face, the rest would be displayed by their IDs in the effect bar at the top-left. (eg. 1 x5, 2-10)
Commands to remove given clingy switches (/removeclingy N, /removeclingyall) would be provided.
Brilliant demonstration here:
10 years and still awkward. Keep it up, baby!

Ah sorry, I was thinking about it in its prime time, back when it used key doors/gates- if two users could have gotten into the key system at the same time, the key pattern would have been messed up just slightly enough to make every run fail (or at least much harder)

uhh what if someone decides to afk for hours? people like doing that
Maybe have it so anyone can get it at any time then, so it acts like a coloured crown? If this was the case, you could still add switches around it or whatever so that once one person is through, nobody else can get it
Also maybe call it a flag (like in capture the flag games, as thats basically what it is)

was thinking of that too a global crown door and crown but for capetiure the flag you would need ids and a crown with ids sounds weird maby not an actualy crown but a green switch
