Do you mean in the chat box or the chat log?
Also, how would this help? If you don't check your message for spelling, you wouldn't see the formatting anyway would you? And if you meant in the chat log, it would already be too late wouldn't it?

are they really gonna ban you for swearing if you have a typo then correct yourself
and people don't always spell "****" as "****". some of the variants may not be censored

I think it would be reasonable to. If you swear, then you need to take the responsibility that you might accidentally make a typo. We can't shrug off repeated rule-breaking just because they're supposedly accidents.
