Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

a and b are in the same world.
a mutes b.
b PMs a and gets a message that a has muted them.
b leaves. b rejoins.
they PM again and are still muted.
a leaves and rejoins (or a and b find themselves in the same world a different time)
b is unmuted.
proposal: permanently be able to mute people. also remove the "this person has muted you" message

If I understand it right its a bug? Or isn't it? So if you join rejoin the player gets unmuted? i THOUGHT ITS 24H

Currently when you mute someone, you only mute them while you are in that world, and as soon as you leave, they are unmuted (which can sometimes make sense, e.g. if they are spamming you for edit, but usually doesnt)

But it's a bug then, because mute message says for 24 hours.
there should be a timer so you say /mute (name) (time) mutes the player for set time in THAT world if no tieme then mutes until player who used /mute leaves you can always /unmute and time is set in D H M so 0 1 0 is 1H
thanks hg for making this much better and ty for my avatar aswell

It isn't a bug, you just have to expand the feature to make this work. But there should also be volume icon with a red line over it, next to their name. So you don't forget that you muted the person. The list of muted people also has to be saved in the player object (am I saying that right?) so it won't be cleared when closing EE. Browser cookies won't be a good idea.

If we start permamute each others, with in more friend only worlds, the game will become something really weird...
Let's not encourage people to have grudges against each other.
idk about you but there's only one person I'm loathe to ever see in an EE world. Muting had nothing to do with that. I could just do without ever hearing a word from them.
Now you're right, technically this system "encourages" me to have a grudge. But I also guarantee that this system would not change my view on this person.
If anything, not being able to read their unintelligible ramblings would actually make me like them more because I forget why I muted them. Being subject to their incoherence each time I meet them will only condition me to detest them more.
tl;dr: technically correct, but ultimately I disagree n1kf

if two people hate each other, isn't it better for them to just not talk to one another instead of harassing each other and making the chat significantly more toxic?

i'm gravedigging this again because there hasn't been a staff response and i'm really tired of having to check the userlist every time i join any level because ee doesn't have a decent block function

This can be done easy. Just let it save in an array in PlayerObjects like likes and favorites is saved.
The way I want it to be muted is the users userid instead of nick. If the guy is changing his name the ignore wouldn't work.
Userid looks like: simple03021304x02, fb213912343249, kong3213912345624, armorNameOnArmorGames.
Which will block them from changing names.

you still keep my old username, stop please.
And I'd surely agree with that suggestion, but this is probably implemented on EE at all.
