signs should be able to rotate

since this update is this annoying for some users

this is the reason why signs should be able to rotate like half blocks and one-way blocks

Only your face is meant to rotate. If they were to implement this they could have made it so the entire screen rotates instead of just your face.

Why not flip the entire perspective instead, so that the bottom of the screen is always the 'down' direction?

Well not really, just the placement where the text box appears.

I don't think that the text box should be rotated to the direction of the player but I do think that there should be an option to rotate signs. In fact, I think that rotating a block and morphing a block should be 2 different things. Left click to morph (eg yellow flower to red flower) and right click to rotate (can be for any decoration or rotatable block). This kind of thing would allow for 100% sideways and upside down worlds and allow items such as spikes to be rotated and have different textures (eg. blood coated).

That would ruin the gameplay difference as well as take time / hurt your head every time you hit a change gravity direction block; especially if there are multiple of them in a row. Just imagine the screen rapidly flipping and changing orientation as you pass through 20 change gravity direction blocks in a row after hitting a boost. Does not sound nice.

Hmm yeah, I also thought about ladders. I think chains should be rotatable too.

EDIT: I think trophies and cakes shouldn't be rotatable though.. I don't know, I get a wrong feeling from it. I don't want every block become morphable.
