There's no reason to count jumps in the code if it's been set to -1, so it should be infinite.

Its set to 1000 if it is infinite (basically the same as -1, but other comparisons dont need to be changed (checking if max jumps > jumps)), and if it is 1000, then the number of jumps is not decremented, so you have an infinite number of jumps
