Hello,
I strongly think EE need more gameplay features.
So I thought of a classic gameplay we find in lot of platformers games: the dash!
How it could works ?
As the double jump effect it returns your dash after touching the ground. Of course you have to set a key to use it (huehue some new menuing !).
Builder could be able to set the dash distance (1 to 20 blocks for example).
For the animation, see it as touching a boost, but restarting your momentum (to make the gameplay more interesting).
Combine with others effect it could create somes funny concepts!
I hope seing one day new kind of gameplay like this,

To be honest, this is quite petty. You quite clearly have phrased your criticism of this idea based on the criticism the OP gave to one of your ideas. This invalidates your opinion as it suggests that you are only commenting negatively on the idea because they have done to yours. Just because someone criticises your idea it doesn't mean you have to go out of your way to criticise theirs. Don't like this idea? Okay that's fine. But do you not see how phrasing it exactly like they did on your idea out of spite and bitterness is by no means a contribution. Most of your posts on the forums consist of both graphics and games suggestions, so I can tell that you care and want to contribute towards this game, but one thing you should probably steer away from is contributing to being a part of the toxic community.

It can be petty, sure, but the comment Minisaurus used in context was not constructive at all. Noone wins can we talk about the suggestion now?
So with the new gravity flipper effect I think if you jump sideways it can work as a sort of "dash" don't you think?
About your suggestion: You said that is needed to set a key to use it, let me suggest a way to do that:
When a player obtain the dash effect, the player need to quick tap twice a directional key (left, up, down or right) to dash in that direction.
If its wanted to have a diagonal dash then the quick tap does not work.
I would prefer to only have horizontal and vertical dash tho.
