I don't think that they will release the amount of money they are making though, although I think most of us can guess that it's not much

I paid $0.01 for chat back in 2011. I don't know why, but when chat was set back to paid by Mr. Shoe at 2013, I didn't have privileges. A good friend got to pay $1 for it, for me.

The 1 cent was just to verify that you have the permission of someone who is old enough to have a credit card

I think quite a lot of people have bought beta with money. There are also people who have bought big spender and diamonds, and that's already quite a lot of money!
I have bought beta and some gems for classic items I had missed. I don't remember how much those cost, but I'm guessing something like 20$-30$.

I bought beta with money, a couple of gems for the 3-4 classic items i did not have when i joined, and chat. Also i bought 2 months of builders club membership for friends back in the day. I figure that I've spent around 25 dollars. I haven't made a single purchase ever since mrshoe left, mainly because there's nothing worth my money in this game right now. It's funny that i've reached 421 gems now and i have literally nothing worthy to spend them on, just letting them stack up for future opportunities.

I spent 20$ for beta and some classic items. Then 3$ for chat and the 50 gems.
