Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

You should de-anonymise the voters now that it's ineffectual to the voting process.
That kind of defeats the idea of anonymous voting.
Why trust someone with your secret ballot if the person is going to renege on their commitment to privacy?
This is the second time a vote has been held on Zoey's demodding, and it is the second time she has won.
Edit: I considered the idea of having a list of people who voted, and I am not against that idea if it were to be put in place.
But to list people who voted and what they voted would be too far in my opinion.

If they cannot be disclosed, then that negates the point of having a vote in the first place, since Different55 can determine whichever results he wishes.
This is the second time Zoey has been determined to be unfit for moderation by a very large portion of the community, which significance outweighs the difference of 2 points.
She hadn't won anything beyond the sympathy of those who fail to hold authority accountable, most likely out of fear of reprisal, if anything, she is the antithesis to success.

diff said that there's no storage of who voted what, only a list of people and a list of votes
I suppose it's not impossible, but that seems, well, odd, given that he produced stats about the voters.

uh
that's
that's not accurate. I could publish the information of everyone who voted but I'm pretty sure a few of the people who voted demod don't want that info publicised. If you could think of a way for me to anonymize the voting info I'd be happy to release it though. As it is I can give you separate lists of everyone who voted (minus one who wants to hide the fact that they voted at all) and a list of all votes, but not both together. I hope you either find this acceptable or find an acceptable alternative.
Also to every one of you who thinks this is somehow over now, it isn't. A 2 point majority is not enough to settle the issue one way or another.

I was hoping so because having two random peoples' opinions decide who moderates the forum seems kind of odd.

alright small change, someone changed their vote. Now it's a 4 point majority which is twice as big as our old majority which means case closed /s
"Final" stats:
+-------+-----------------+---------------------+---------------------+-----------+
| vote | number of votes | avg number of posts | avg registered date | avg # PMs |
+-------+-----------------+---------------------+---------------------+-----------+
| keep | 58 | 1529.1552 | 2015-04-04 02:05:08 | 63.0000 |
| demod | 54 | 1439.3889 | 2015-05-06 20:24:28 | 87.8519 |
+-------+-----------------+---------------------+---------------------+-----------+
EDIT: I realize this info can be used to de-anonymize the user who switched their vote but they already publicly announced it in IRC so I can't say I'm super concerned about it.

I was about to point out how silly that was before I realized that was sarcastic.

One more mildly interesting stat, most demodders have their rep turned on, while a large percentage of keepers shut theirs off.

so, uh, what was the point of this? literally anyone who knew the vote counts (public info) could have made this

here's a fun statistic
there's been like 5 topics with my name in them and like 463 posts throughout all of them
so every time anyone's posted in these topics while i've been online, i've gotten pinged for them because of gregbot on irc
there's no point to this post but here is a statistic anyways

would you believe that I didn't think of that when I made it
EDIT: Also, final announcement on this issue is coming Wednesday. Don't want to do it tonight for reasons and I'm probably not even going to be able to make it on the forums tomorrow, so wednesday it is.

well, obviously, if it's all anonymous and the votes are done by PM, there will be inconsistency in the voting process. I don't know if we can do it, but I suggest doing a public vote, but the list of people who voted for and against remain anonymous. That way, there will be no bias, as the results remain public, however, the list of voters can still remain private to reduce backlash from the subject being demodded. But yeah, just a suggestion. Feel free to ignore this, if everything is resolved.
Edit: Well, there won't be no bias, I feel like it will heavily reduce any sort of bias

yeah but the longest time she spent being demodded is like 12 minutes or something

she is the antithesis to success.
well that seems harsh and melodramatic, but I'm not sure what I expected from you.
I dont think a public vote would be a bad thing. I mean its not like we're voting on "who here is a white supremacist". The worst that would happen is that zoey wouldn't like you, but most of you dont seem to care about that anyway.

Another person changed their vote. Last time it was because he either misclicked or misunderstood, this time because s/he thought the whole thing was a joke and went with the troll option. I imagine they aren't the only two but they're the only two so far at least.

The votes weren't done in PM, I created a special page for the occasion. Source code is here for anyone interested. I'm not sure what you mean by public vote but everyone having their vote out in the open is more likely to cause bias since they'd be more likely to vote with friends than against.

Her ban was like one day since that's all her warnings netted her but she stayed demodded longer than that.

Are you saying that because it's true or saying that because they're moving away from the option you wanted?
