Can't Bend my middle finger?

I was playing with a friend throwing a football to each other.

When he threw it, I tried to catch it but it it "Jumped" Of my middle finger. It seemed like it was "Jammed" But now i cant bend it all the way now.

Its been about a day and it still wont bend all the way. My teacher said it was sprained or something.
Anyone know what happened?

dude, this happens to me all the time when im catching things (im godd at catching things ) and it usually lasta about 10 mins, but in this case, what chewy said

Oh dear. This is bad. I read on a newspaper today and I saw this article called Finger Jammed Syndrome. It said that any Finger getting jammed or unmovable can cause death. They saw an old woman by the name of Stella, died due to this Syndrome. Just kidding

I couldnt bend my small finger, as called the pinky, because I had a rollerskating accident.

But the good news is, I could bend it if it is still jammed, but it's not anymore right now.

Fingers don't unjam in a day. All my jammed fingers have taken weeks.
