Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Hey ChrisKringel. Looks like the Bot is coming along nicely. Do you have chat yet? I might be able to get you it, if you trust me. If not, totally fine, too, of course.

Anyways good luck! And I would like to be a beta tester ^-^

We'll see. It's still a long way to go.

Thanks for the offer. I currently don't have chat. So what do you want me to do? ;-)

Releasing this bot to the public would destroy EE as every level you visit would be something bot assisted //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Yes. Anything wrong with that? On Linux and Mac you might get it to run with the Mono-Framework. However I use Windows as my primary platform so I'm aiming at windows users...

Do you have any idea when you will be done?

You could do a level with the bot running for a day then we all can see it working.

Yeah...
Unique things (like bots currently) -> Cool things (like EX Crew Shift currently)
Uniform things (like your bot if you release it to the public) -> Noobish things (like stairs currently)

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

I dont know anything about bots, who has them etc. All I know is it looks hard to do but is COOL. It could ruin EE but could be the best update ee has ever seen. It would kinda be unfair if crews etc got it but normal public didnt. Maybe get the creator Chris to look at this..? maybe release a thing where u can "report a troller"?? anyway gettin back to the topic I think its a very good idea //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile brill tech-y stuff aswell. If you think about it im either young or just plain dumb. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink

That.
You should only give it to specific people, otherwise it'll get into the wrong hands. Or the hands of everybody.

I have no idea when it'll be done... But it will take a few more weeks i guess //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile
And regarding the price-discussion: I'm not planning to sell this bot. But I'm happy if it would create some money by attracting donations ;-) It would be also possible to create a dedicated website when the bot is "finished" to create money from ads...

About the release: Currently I'm doing some local testing, because there are heavy codechanges each day. When the bot enters beta-stage I will distribute an obfuscated version with hardcoded account details to a few selected beta testers, that expires after X days. But its still a long way to go...

Not so sure about that. At first do you need to know about reverse engineering.
Because I think he is going to obfuscate the code so you can't even use a decompiler for it, aka "click on decompile, done". The only way I can think of using, is OllyDbg or IDA Pro. You also need knowledge about Assembly to even use the tools I said.

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

I could help with beta testing as i know how to program and i am able to find very small bugs too. I would be happy if I could help you... //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

I have never thought of programming for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out. That is the reason why I code.

That's right. Basically you can "decompile" every executable that is on your PC. However if you have a program written in C++ or C variablenames and comments get lost during compilation. However C# still contains a lot of information about methods and variables, making it easy to "decompile" your program. To prevent this I'll obfuscate the code, meaning that the code will become more unreadable and inculde some anti-decompile techniques. However if you try hard enough, you can decompile everything...
