If you make a gun out of black blocks, right click on it and select "Pick Up", an inventory screen will appear at the top of the screen and allow you to make guns whenever you want.

When you get unbanned, you can spend the banned gem on a Potion of Jump, and it will turn into a Splash Potion of Banning.
