Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Ok, here's a tutorial of smileys:
1.) Get a blank. f you dont have one, .
2.) Think about what you want it to be. *thinks*
3.) Put it on paint.
4.) Star up your basic design. Make sure you're zoomed in to x8. Its the easiest way.
5.) Rip parts from other smileys (hair, clothes ect.) Lets say I want a smiley in a tuxedo...
6.) I want it to have Superman's hair and open eyes, so I take them off and put it onto my blank smiley.
7.) I dont want a smile, so I get another smiley with the mouth I want.
8.) Put it on. You always dont need to cut the whole bottom of the smiley off, just the part you need.
9.) Now you need the tuxedo... You need to make it yourself. Make a copy of your smiley and play with it just ijncase you mess up.
10.) Make a different tux for each smiley!
11.) Zoom out to x1 and choose your favorite! There you have a smiley!
-Stubby.
Any questions about designing your smileys, i'd be willing to answer. Now go on, have fun making smileys! And sooner, this topic will be more organized. Sorry for the mess.

I guess this guide is okay, but you just told people how to mostly mix and match. I want to make a guide including faded pixels for smoothing, etc., so you can make nearly everything yourself.

No one uses paint anymore. Everyone uses GIMP (me) or Paint.NET. I have met some users of Paint Shop Pro however, (I have it btw. But I only use it for cropping images as gimp is too hard to crop a specific part :c)
Yes i got to end part put how i upload so u guys can see?
Heres my smiley lol the COLD SMILEY (the smiley has a cold)
