Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Hello! I am Supermariobros20 (in-game)!
Some days ago I thought about a block that when you were near it, a black sign (like the one that appears when you write in a sign) appeared saying Enter secret code. It is like a coin door: When you write the correct code (like the code that lets you edit in the worlds) and you press Send button near it, the door opens and you can pass through it. I've also thought about a text gate (the opposite of text door), but I think it is a bit useless excect if you use it to avoid spikes or other hazards. I have also an image of the text block, so you can see better how it works.
Imo, it's not a bad idea, but it's far from a great idea. It's essentially doing what switches do.

It adds a lot more variety and possibilites than the switches. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure it's been suggested already.
Its a better way to make story words, but i think its pointless.
This is a false statement.

More of a game suggestion than a graphics suggestion but sure.
10 years and still awkward. Keep it up, baby!

Its better to make a puzzle world and type the answer in that door .

If that block was added to the game, I would make a minigame where you must find all the signs of the game. Each sign gives you a hint of the password or a letter.
I don't think it is like a switch. In switch games you only need to touch the switch, but with the text block you must write the correct password to pass. Also, you you draw for example 3 text blocks, you must write the password in each door.
Furthermore, capital letters and normal letters in this block are allowed, but if you write a normal letter instead of a capital letter, it doesn´t matter, it is valid.

This has been suggested before, and it would be a great addition. But I think it should be case sensitive. Or an option to turn case sensitivity on/off.
thx for sig bobithan

This one does have a picture, but essentially the exact same thing

You mean doesn't have a picture?
And my posts there are so cringe-worthy...

Im starting to like this idea more and more. The idea I have for it is in large worlds that require a long time to complete, a player could pass a checkpoint and be given a password. Then if the player leaves the world, they could go to a specific area at the start of the map and type the password into text block, letting it open and using portals to let them pick up where they left off.

Good idea, but in reality it'll turn out terribly - people will just pass on the password
Thank you eleizibeth ^
I stack my signatures rather than delete them so I don't lose them

True... But I would use it in levels that need more than 1 world (you put a secret password at the begining of the second world. You can get that passwod at the end of the first world)

You will stil have the same problem... If only one person, who completed the first world, says the code in the second world, the whole world knows it...

Right, but with it, not all the players will skip the first world.
If the world didn´t have the text block, the 100% of users would be able to play it by skipping the first world; but if we use it, I think at least the 20% will try the first world.
