Making a level Ideas please.

Hello, i'm trying to make a boss level but I have no ideas. I don't want to steal a design of others like Well's map. Also I want it to be a picture like a theme. Please reply with ideas. Thanks

Some time back, we made a boss where it was a picture of a hydra , and the boss room was right where the hydra was biting at.   It was pretty cool.

Do a castle, with different floors with minigames in rooms, and some minigames will have trapdoors that fall back down to another floor. Goal is to get to the highest tower and save the princess.
