List of Original Levels

This is a list of levels featuring concepts and ideas never done before. I have categorized them by difficulty and included a brief description for each one.

EASY

Supadorf24's Time is Killing Me ZOMG SELF-PROMOTION
Time is Killing Me is a relaxed coin hunt featuring two different layers: the present and the future. Players use portals to travel between the two, needing to explore both time periods in order to collect all the coins.

MIHB's Pinball Bloom
Pinball Bloom is a fun, take-it-at-your-own-pace pinball level, in which the player's smiley acts as the ball. Players must navigate the colorful course to collect coins, all the while descending towards the flippers.

DS Crew's Shift Worlds
Shift Worlds utilizes backgrounds in a whole new way. When players enter a portal, a specified color of the background will come to life, allowing players to use it. The gameplay itself is a basic platforming coin hunt, but can be tricky to navigate at times.

Jakery's Broken Dreams
Broken Dreams is an experimental platforming level made completely out of coin doors and coins. As players collect coins, parts of the level disappear, creating an ever-deteriorating environment.

MEDIUM

MIHB's Tricolor
MIHB's Tricolor features a rotational key system that alternates colors on and off, requiring players to race against the clock in multiple tracks.

EL's Minimap Puzzle
The idea behind Minimap Puzzle is requiring players to look at the minimap to determine their route. If they don't study the minimap carefully enough, they may have to repeat challenges.

Cyph1e's Snake Boss
Snake Boss is an original bossing concept brought to life by Cyph1e's programming. As Cyph1e draws blocks, blocks behind them are deleted, creating a snaking effect. Players will have to keep up with the snake of blocks and avoid a minefield of obstacles while competing with other players.

Cyph1e's Ride the Wave
Ride the wave in Ride the Wave. Players surf along a uniquely drawn wave with the goal of collecting coins. Portals act as checkpoints that can be accessed through coins. The level has a distinctively flowing style of gameplay.

HARD

EX Crew's The Vault
Each room in The Vault is filled with coin doors. As players collect coins, coin doors disappear, changing the shape of the room dramatically. With this in mind, a single room might be three challenges in one.

Lethal Lava Labyrinth
Lethal Lava Labyrinth is a co-op map that requires 2 players to communicate and complete challenges together. Some challenges may feature traps, forcing players to restart entirely.

EX Crew's (Trolled) Minigames
(Trolled) Minigames takes the boring minigames we all love to hate, and turns them into something fun. Members of the forum community were recruited to make an unoriginal box mini level--the kind that plagues the lobby. EX Crew then trolled it, and created challenges within the trolled map.

Muftwin's Wall Breaker PRO series
The Wall Breaker PRO levels are fast-paced guessing games in which players must guess where to hit while staying in a field of arrows.

Johan and Nou's Pyramid Plunder
Through the use of coin doors and portals, Pyramid Plunder features a life and checkpoint system, requiring players to be very careful about their actions, otherwise having to restart.

133's Cheap Cheap Beach
The goal in Cheap Cheap Beach is to avoid collecting coins while playing through a typical box mini level. While reaching the end might be easy, getting the crown and making it on the high scores list will not.

ILLUSIONS
Illusions (originally popularized by EX Crew Illusion) are challenges in which players must look beyond the seemingly obvious solutions in order to complete them.

That's a very nice list you have there!

I can't think of any original maps right now, but if I remember one, I'll tell you.

This world has to do with shifting through different areas, kind of like time fcuk if you've evr played it. I think it's original. Prob easy - medium

@Addi Shift currently isn't functioning. If and when it starts back up I'll add it.

@Slawthe Oh yeah, I've played Time Fcuk. I have some work to do now, so I'll try out you're level and maybe add some more later.

It's really good, and one of the best minis I've played for a long time. Very original. You should add this one.

Sorry, but there's nothing very original about that level.

Yeah, why don't I add a section strictly for illusions. I love illusions.

And I think EX Crew Trolled Minis is a good one, since it really looks and feels trolled.

i made theese long ago many have seem them but they still seem origional not very many people have seen them i havent opened one in a long time. i think there pretty cool anyway

im also working on a level like theese only with art i barely work on it and its almost done

Hmm... MIHB, Cyph1e, EX crew..... nice list.

Seriously Supadorf there are more good levels than just levels made by EX Crew and it's members. I think you added way to many EX levels to your list.

I wouldn't include anything by Tokebot or EEDD (probably not with EEDD, although he builds so much lately that I'm sure I haven't seen all his maps).   Although both are extremely skilled and talented builders, their maps tend to follow the mini-mini-mini layout, either with art or no art, which is extremely common.   They are among the best at it, but those are not the types of maps that this thread is talking about.   Now that I think about it though Tokebot has a speedrun map, which is a unique concept that fits in here.

SupaDorf24 should have put his golf map, which is a better candidate imo than his time map (which is a terrific idea, but I don't think its carried out quite as well as it should be).   Failgirl's Casino map and MFL's (broken) Everybody Skates map are great examples of ideas that are totally new or that have never been carried out to their full potential.   Well has a map or two that should also be on here (thinking especially of the timer endurance map).   It would also be nice to include a selection of "YOU HAVE X LIVES" type maps, such as Ravatroll's Battle High Castle and Nou and Johan's Pyramid.   (Not trying to stuff the list with EX member maps, just more familiar with our maps than other peoples').   There are a few other players who make unique stuff, such as Drock2308 and 133.   In particular 133's YMCK Puzzle Parade is one of the best Illusion maps I've ever played, and Cheap Cheap Beach is another unique concept, carried out well.
