From my standpoint, they'll attempt to counterclaim me to mislynch me, in which all they'll have to worry about is the Cop, which they can easily convert tomorrow.
Why wouldn’t they just not say anything, and then kill/convert the cop?
It sounds to me like you’re setting up a narrative about mafia fake claiming just to "get you", because you know the real vig will come out.

Town vig hasn't counterclaimed and said it's ok for us to kill Shadow. Which he absolutely should at this point in the game. He'll only get one shot in anyway, and scum can't block him. It's better than us walking into a mislynch in this crucial point of the game.

Imo it's more likely that if shadow and luka are scum they've given up on the game, and the SK doesn't do anything because the shadow wagon is okay for them
Though Shadow might've also been just too busy irl to post (that doesn't clear him of the suspicions but it would explain why he's not trying to fight back)
But think about it. If Shadow is scum, why wouldn't a town vig immediately say "yup he is lying i am the true vigilante and tonight i will shoot Luka". Instead we get eerie silence, which makes me wonder if Shadow is actually town.

Scum!Task could theoretically just have not claimed vig. So it makes more sense to believe him town here, but then again. You should never completely trust anything in Mafia.

The only reason i’d believe Task was fake claiming is if there was real chance he or theoretically his partner was at threat of being lynched/killed if Shadow didn’t get lynched today.

Do you think Shadow is more likely to be mafia than Task?
Also... if we leave Task/Shadow both alive we can let the true vig kill the other, like you suggested. Assuming Shadow isn’t Milk man and we’re allowing him a recruit by doing so. That would be a decent strategy. Task can only be goon, because i don’t think milk man would make the risk of fake claiming here.
