Truman Show Mafia - Game Thread - Producers win!
Welcome to Jim Carrey Mafia!
- This is a pretty standard Mafia setup, with Jim Carrey roles for added flavor!
Setup
- 10 players
- 3 mafia
- 7 town
Rules and Info
- Days are 48 hours, nights are 48 hours, both of which can be ended early
- A majority must be reached in order for a player to be lynched.
- Please vote using the h tag

As millions gather around their television sets, Truman show fans around the world eagerly watch Truman's voyage into the great unknown to escape his reality.
As Truman gets to the edge, the creator wishes to talk to him. The creator tells him "I'm getting tired of this show Truman come on I'm making it obvious just leave the goddamn dome already"
Truman slowly turns around. He looks up at the sky, with millions watching, and says...
"kirbyb you **** host do yu oeven know ho whot o host amfaia? this is **** gamame."
The true meaning of the game was that Truman was the only town. Everybody else was working to create a perfect Mafia dreamworld. All roles were fake. All flips were fake. All arguments were an elaborate ploy to make it seem like a real mafia game.
The Producers Win
The following is the PM that was sent to the producers when the game started
Welcome to Truman Show Mafia
In the Truman show, Truman Burbank slowly discovers that his life may not be what it seems.
In this Mafia, all of the roles I posted in the OP were fake, except for one - Truman.
In reality, there are two factions in this game: Truman and Producers. The identity of Truman is Peace
Truman has two win conditions: Find out the true meaning of the game by D4, or get lynched
As Producers, you all have one goal: Make this game appear to be running smoothly. You control how the game is played. You can pretend to be whichever role you want, sacrifice yourselves for nightkills to lower suspicion, even choose the role of who dies in the nightkill. Just don't let Truman figure it out.
There is a catch though - Every night, I'm going to give Truman a small hint about the meaning of the game, and at the start of every day, I'll give you a rule you must follow for that day. Something silly like "you must mention X in your posts for that day." You all must blend these restriction into your posts as cleanly as possible so Truman does not get suspicious.
Please respond to this PM as confirmation, once you all respond I can start the game. It is important that you all understand the true meaning of the game yourselves before we get started
Also if you all don't mind I'm just going to use this instead of a quicktopic for convenience
Every night, the Producers got restrictions to make it seem more obvious that they were a team. They were as follows:
- D1: nothing
- D2: All producers must bold the first word of every post
- D3: At least once every 10 posts, all producers must post in the mod color, despite being against the fake rules
- D4: All dead players are revived and must not acknowledge it.
Every night, Truman received some hints to point him towards the true meaning of the game. They are as follows.
N1: "Hmm... something's off......."
N2: "...What are they doing..."
N3: "...TRUMAN! TRUMAN! I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO TELL YOU THIS, BUT THERE'S A SECRET TO THIS GAME. FIGURE IT OUT BY THE END OF NIGHT 4 TO AUTOMATICALLY WIN..."
D4: "...TRUMAN! TRUMAN! I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO TELL YOU THIS, BUT THERE'S A SECRET TO THIS GAME. FIGURE IT OUT BY THE END OF NIGHT 4 TO AUTOMATICALLY WIN..." (repeated to make sure he acknowledges it)
