Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I, too, prefer the old theme, but thank you for allowing us to switch to it with help from the Announcement box.
I'll see what I can do about aligning the logo.
Not sure what you mean about underlining, though. Can I get a screenshot and can you tell me what browser and version you're using?

Not sure what's going on there. It looks fine on 12.16, but I'll try fixing it. *adds to list*

kind of off-topic, but 12.17 is a security update, maybe you should update to it, it looks exactly like 12.16. but thanks for adding it to the list of fixing stuff
Offline
Can't. Opera never gave linux users an update past 12.16. And besides, mac and linux were unaffected by the 3 bugs that plagued 12.16 on windows, so neither of them will ever get a 12.17.
Okay, now that that short sidebar is over, we should get back to theme discussion.

Yeah I get the underlining thing as well. Also, could the logo be more to the left? It crosses behind the navigation bar.

Yeah, I'm on a desktop instead of my phone now and there are underlines everywhere.
Anyway, I finally found some free time today, so I'll be getting to work now.

I don't have any underlines...
Is it fixed? Or am I just not getting it?

What browser do you use?

I use chrome.
However I havent updated it to the latest yet, so it might be that

You're just not getting it. We're still being invaded by underlines.
Anyway, yesterday didn't go as great as far as progress on the theme as I thought it would. Hopefully I'll get it completed today.

It's not fixed. Hopefully, it'll be fixed and the header will look as intended later tonight.
Yeah, it's not like I've said that several times already or anything.

Okay, finally, I feel comfortable enough releasing it to the masses. It should look fine on screens as small as 1024px wide as long as you're a normal user. I might make a few more minor tweaks, and I'm finally going to hunt down those underlines. If you don't see the new navbar, clear your cache and reload. (try Shift+F5, Ctrl+F5, Alt+F5, or consult google)
EDIT: One tweak made to the navbar to make non-blue links look less blurry.

The blue button background looks dumb and should be removed. The previous version was better, all that needs to be fixed is alignment for different resolutions and that hasn't been resolved even with this.

What?

Other stuffThat's great! I'll start working on adding it.
What the heck, dude? When he posts it, it looks great, but when I copy it down perfectly (I even included that near-invisible gradient), suddenly it's dumb?
And what are you talking about, not looking good on different resolutions? I aligned the navbar with the right edge of the forum, and it should show up there for everyone, no matter what resolution they have. The only problem is that the ADMIN navlink sends it into the header for staff, but I'm not too worried about that because we're just staff. It's very possible that I missed something. I didn't do extensive testing, but I can't do anything without a screenshot. You could at least provide that, since you should know that I wouldn't upload this if I knew that it had such a big alignment issue to make the whole thing suck.
In any case, if you wanted anything specific done, you should have told me. Meredith told me "Hey, Atilla had a problem with making the css reflect Kentiya's forum header. You're good with css so can you help with that?"
I did exactly that. If you want something changed, that's easy and I'm always open to suggestions.
But to tell me to go do something, then to put so much effort into it only to be told
The previous version was better
...Well, to say that it's not a great feeling would be a bit of an understatement. You realize that half the reason it took so long to upload was because I was being careful, right? I didn't want to upload broken garbage.
Whatever. The underline issue is fixed. If you see underlines, then they're supposed to be there. I'll double check my work on the alignment on every browser and screen size I have available to me, and I guess I'll edit the post again when I have some more information. Until then, I reset the header to how it used to be since it's better.
For anyone who didn't get to see, it looks like this on the browsers/sizes I tested before this post was made:
http://i.imgur.com/pJeniCX.png
EDIT: I feel stupid for not noticing it before, but the absolute positioning is screwing with the way I was doing things, and I think one of the extra resolutions I tested on was actually another 1024 monitor.
EDIT: I've fixed the parts of the header I touched. The header image remains untouched and still sticks to the left side of the monitor, regardless of size. I'm working on that now.

Um, me and Blizzard10 were working on it and it's not our fault that you hadn't realised there were obvious changes made.
Anyhow, doesn't matter. The main problem is that with different resolutions the navbar links seem to be kind of derpy.

What "obvious changes" are you talking about? This is the first I've heard of anything like that. What I'm irritated about is that you approve a plan (Kentiya's), then later call it stupid and say that it's worse than what you had before after I put a lot of work into it. No idea what you're talking about, but I'm not irritated by anything that happened while coding.
I fixed all alignment issues by adding another div to wrap the header image in and correcting my code in the navbar to work with absolute positioning. Things will fluctuate between resolutions but nobody should even notice unless they enjoy switching resolutions really fast while staring at the header. The only people who should have issues are admins and mods, where the navbar intrudes into logo territory as mentioned previously. If there are issues, I need screenshots. If you have a suggestion, I'm open to it starting now.

Hey, D55.
The announcement box runs a little into the header on my screen:
http://puu.sh/8KhWC.png
Using: Chrome Version 34.0.1847.131 mScreen Resolution: 1280 x 1024
My bad, didn't delete the cache. Now I see this:
Is this the correct version?

I can't see anything glaringly wrong with it. The header might be a few pixels too far to the right; I'll check that out.

You're seeing something very wrong. Press Ctrl+F5 and Shift+F5 to fix it.
For anyone else seeing something that looks nothing like the image I posted here, press Ctrl+F5 and Shift+F5 before taking a screenshot and posting it.
