Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: How to survive a heat wave?

hmmm, you could build a giant freezer or fridge so you can fit inside, you can adjust the temp by removing and adding ice from stores, can also make ice if you dig a large hole, because deeper is colder

you could go to one of those underground places, forgot name.

Re: How to survive a heat wave?

I see heatstroke and dehydration interchanged a lot.

Heatstroke is when your body cannot cool itself, and your internal temperature rises. It's usually caused by sweating a lot, to the point where you are dehydrated and cannot sweat anymore.

Dehydration is when your body loses water, sodium, and potassium.

When you sweat a lot, you lose a lot of sodium (an electrolyte). Sodium helps retain water in your body. Without it, you'll **** out every bit of water you drink. The best you can do is crackers, pretzels, or anything alike, and drink gatorade.

I've had it happen to myself. I was working in a hot kitchen, sweating like mad, and usually too busy/hot to eat. I was drinking plenty of water. I remember drinking an entire case one day. I would drink it, and **** it right back out. After a couple days, I had a heatstroke. I was riding with my mom to the store, and it started to feel like my heart was going to explode. I couldn't hardly breathe, couldn't see straight, felt really tired.

Was taken to the hospital, and they started taking blood and doing tests. They started a saline drip, and after a couple hours said they needed to transfer me to a different hospital. I was taken by ambulance to a hospital 2 hours away. The entire time my heart rate was about 170bpm, and I kept falling asleep.

I was there for 3 days, getting sodium and potassium through an IV drip.

and a word. "HEATSTORKE" -- they're drawing humor from your periodic inability to spell.

What about those endothermic cold packs that activate when you mix the chemicals together?

One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.
