Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

1. All forum rules apply, however multi-posting rules are more lenient. So long as your posts are relevant to the game it shouldn't be an issue.
2. Do not post in this thread unless you are alive in the game. All posts made by dead players and people not in the game will be deleted.
3. You may not edit or delete your posts. This function will be disabled in this game.
4. If you stay inactive too long or not contributing to discussion , you will be prodded for inactivity and replaced if you don't respond to the prod within 24 hours.
5. Do not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any message sent by the game moderator for any reason. Paraphrasing is allowed, such as saying what your role is or does, but don't copy paste an entire role pm word for word.
6. Do not gamethrow. Gamethrowing is defined as actively working against your role/faction's win condition, and is dealt with on a case by case basis.
7. As soon as a majority is reached, it counts as the day being over. The moderator may not be there to lock the thread immediately so do not post after majority is reached.
8. You may not talk about the game with living players through any means other than the game thread and Mafia night chat. No exceptions.
9. Remember that this is just a game. If I see any form of harassment that may warrant a replacement or modkill.
10. If any player breaks any of these rules please private message me on the forums and I will deal with it. Do not use the forums report feature to report someone breaking one of the game rules unless they are also breaking a forum rule.
11. The moderator's word is final. If I say not to do something it means don't do it. If you have an issue then it's best to save until the end of the game as to not interfere with the game.

Background
The Mafioso Family was once a great crime conglomerate lead by the Godfather. It would meet daily to discuss the progress of its dealings and strategies. However, the unity of the organisation was thrown into disarray when one morning, the Godfather was found dead. Immediately, several factions emerged, claiming to want to lead the crime empire. The Loyalists must consolidate what power they still have if they are to prevent the notoriously aggressive Orange Faction, the sly Blue Faction, and the steadfast Purple Faction, from destroying all that they have worked hard to achieve.
The game will end when one faction controls a majority of the crime conglomerate.

hi, good
so what sort of strategies can we use here I wonder? maybe there are some crazy roles that spice things up because heynk has a good point, this doesn't make sense
I've thought about games like this before and they just don't work out in my head. Maybe forcing one will prove that one way or the other.
seems more of a **** show than regular mafia because there is no light and dark. just gray.

!vote heynk
honestly there is nothing to go off of. Obviously anything that hints at being tied to a team is a (praise Creature) WIFOM... which is useless to both the teammates and the lynchmob unless people start dying godawfully fast

I don't see why Abelysk would lie about someone leaving their team.
or why they'd have any reason to go specifically after devlin? I mean if nothing else just let the cycle consume someone new... well I suppose by lashing out first, you prevent your teammates from getting squished.
if devlin turns up different than what abelysk said then we'd have good cause to hold him to the flame or whatever
devlin how would you suggest we go about finding this larger team that you claim to not be part of?

I don't know where Slabdrill got the idea that Devlin changed his faction to the loyalists, but I assume that it's a hint.
I don't know where you got the idea Slabdrill got the idea. I'm searching through slab's posts and don't see much to hint that he was concerned in that way
If he's a useful PR he's going to help his own faction before anybody else
yeah but at the same time it's possible to find the intersection of faction and majority interests.
I still wonder at how the roles are balanced in this game
current vote tally:
devlin - math, emalton, hummerz5, zumza.

hey btw I thought onjit was being dumb but could these words have significance
"notoriously aggressive Orange Faction, the sly Blue Faction, and the steadfast Purple Faction"
perhaps the first has strong killing ability, the last some sort of resistance to being persuaded?
idek what blue would be. But this would contradict abelysk's claim yes? ... or is he jst being dumb
oh the questions to ask

The Protector role HeyNK had fits "steadfast" imo
guess we wouldn't care to sit around and debate specifics all day but I feel the aspect of loyalty is closer than protection
but to be honest I would also say that it's ironic and perhaps an oxymoron to say that a breakaway faction is 'resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering' especially in a loyalty context.
so idk

so we're thinking factions have similar setups? if we actually don't need to be concerned about one having some OP absorption ability then we can probably just expect that to balance out imo. If we're wrong about that then this game could potentially be over d2 - lynch & NK & swap would make 9 players and 5 in the one team. If we're right about devlin then d2 would be lynch & NK & swap to make 9 and 4, still OK.

ok so I could go for either slabdrill or devlin for this next vote.
honestly my only problem is that their claims are contentious. As far as I can tell they'd be the same team. My best justification is that they're either last-ditch distancing or slabdrill actually referenced orange and purple as a way to avoid being labeled as blue.
in that case I'm still against devlin but again either way

I picture the recruiting faction to be blue or something. As far as the narrative goes, it wouldn't make sense for the loyalists to have a recruiter because then the group would never have split up
but that's probably not relevant

If it does, well know if he's switched now that he's claimed loyalist.
Good question. who knows?
Would it make a difference?
OK I'll be honest, I don't entirely follow your logic yet. BUT, yes, it would make a difference to you, I guess, whether or not your logic has a sound base

Would it be a good idea for RB to come forward? I feel like it would be if they RB'd the same person.
how many RB do you think there are? it feels like there's so little going on
Slabdrill left my faction.
so do we go after slab?

Abelysk claimed a shooting role.
if no one comes forward having blocked him that does somewhat put his claim into question given that no one died...
I could go for voting out an Emalton but if jkdrip's claim holds water for the next few hours then I guess we know what to do... might help if someone corroborates his story... wink
