Role: Witch Hunter
Description: Magic is strictly forbidden in this town and you are a part of the undercover police force that aims to hunt it down and eliminate it. You are so undercover that you don’t even know who you’re working with! In fact, you don’t even know if anyone uses magic at all! Magic might already be extinct from this town. But if there are still some magic users out there, you will be sure to find them. Sometimes you can even smell the magic in the air.
Win Condition: All threats to the town must be eliminated, this includes any user of magic.

Witch Hunt: At night you may choose a player. You will be told if this player is magical.
Usage: At night, PM me the name of the user you wish to inspect.
Notes: You will only be told if the user is magical and will not be told their exact role. Players under the influence of magic will appear as magical.

Foul Smell: During the day you may inspect a player to see if any magic has been used on them. You will be told if ‘a little’, ‘some’ or ‘a lot’ of magic has been used on them within the last day / night. The Magic used on someone fades with time.
Usage: At any time during the day, PM me the name of the user you wish to inspect.
Notes: Can only be used once per day. Does not tell you if they have used magic, only if it has been used on them. Magic concentration decreases by a value once every 16 hours. The night always counts as a period of 16 hours no matter how long it lasted.

Execute: At night you may choose a player you know to be magical. If any other players with this ability have chosen the same player at any point during the game, then your chosen player will be burnt at the stake for the illegal use of magic.
Usage: At night, PM me the name of the user you wish to execute.
Notes: You may only execute players you have found to be magical. From the moment you select a player, if they are selected by another user with this ability they will be executed. If you are the only player with this ability they will be executed immediately.

Role Type: Killing > Selfish

▼Detective

Role: Detective
Description: This town is under your protection. You do not want to see the death of the citizens you protect. You will find out those who have become corrupted and those who have not.

Inspection: During the day you are able to perform 5 separate inspections. You may choose to inspect a player’s house, a player’s transport or a player’s dead body (or lack thereof). Instead of receiving direct results you are instead given clues which you can use to try and deduce the information you are looking for. Be careful though, some clues may be red herrings. For example: a simple knife laying around may just be the result of forgetting to wash up.
Usage: At any time during the day, PM me the name of the user you wish to inspect.
Notes: You may use this ability 5 times each day. You will not be directly told a user's role, only given clues you can use to deduce their role. If there are no more clues in a person’s house you will be notified.

Role Type: Investigative

11 players alive. 6 votes are needed for a majority.

sorry guys I thought abelysk was pretty on the level...

both folks had day abilities but idk if they'd've been useful d1

so looking back I think mrjawapa was pretty much posting nonsense and following the tide. Does anyone think it possible he used the day investigations to some extent on abelysk? otherwise he might've just been going along

different's posts only ever seem to explicitly mention maxi123 but it looks like the witch didn't kill him, so it feels like that's too transparent... I do want to keep in mind that maxi could be magic.

looks like the witch is not on friendly terms.

^ keep in mind, I already pointed out that claiming to see someone at night is also claiming to have a PR so do at your own risk

I guess the day bus just claims having a bus pass which isn't really a big thing

Iirc there's a curse that kills you after x days. Maybe he got unlucky and got a 0, if that's possible

Iirc there's a curse that kills you after x days. Maybe he got unlucky and got a 0, if that's possible

doesn't look that way. could roll a minimum of 1 for days, so would he die before going through a day?

it says some players might start with curses... so perhaps Conjoined was given to Diff and MrJawapa? also a stretch

maybe mafia has a janitor that cleaned the body, or mrjawapa was actually King Ghost. But then if that were the case would Devlin give him the role of investigator?

...unless the entire explanation is dangerous... drip you're kinda skipping over the whole "be careful" side of things.

well in the interest of being pedantic... if the car stays gone then whoever did it was a car thief. As such, if onjit's car is gone then abelysk was lying. As it stands we don't know if onjit's car ever left so we really can't confirm it. I mean yes I lean in favor of abelysk but I condemn anyone who claims it as sound logic.

tbh I don't want to take a car when the benefits are nil and the risk of dying is nonzero. If banking on others to use similar logic, then claiming to take someone's car is pretty damn clean.
