Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Mafia 13 game [TOWN WINS!]

Welcome to the Mafia 13!

The sign up thread can be found here.

This is a closed setup.
The rolecards that have been found by the Town on the bodies of dead people will be listed in the 2nd post of the thread.

Please read the rules thanks

General Rules
1. All forum rules apply, however multi-posting rules are more lenient. So long as your posts are relevant to the game it shouldn't be an issue.
2. Do not post in this thread unless you are alive in the game. All posts made by dead players and people not in the game will be deleted.
3. You may not edit or delete your posts. This function will be disabled in this game.
4. If you stay inactive too long or not contributing to discussion , you will be prodded for inactivity and replaced if you don't respond to the prod within 24 hours.
5. Do not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any message sent by the game moderator for any reason. Paraphrasing is allowed, such as saying what your role is or does, but don't copy paste an entire role pm word for word.
6. Do not gamethrow. Gamethrowing is defined as actively working against your role/faction's win condition, and is dealt with on a case by case basis.
7. As soon as a majority is reached, it counts as the day being over. The moderator may not be there to lock the thread immediately so do not post after majority is reached.
8. You may not talk about the game with living players through any means other than the game thread and Mafia night chat. No exceptions.
9. Remember that this is just a game. If I see any form of harassment that may warrant a replacement or modkill.
10. If any player breaks any of these rules please private message me on the forums and I will deal with it. Do not use the forums report feature to report someone breaking one of the game rules unless they are also breaking a forum rule.
11. The moderator's word is final. If I say not to do something it means don't do it. If you have an issue then it's best to save until the end of the game as to not interfere with the game.

Roles have been sent out.

The sun rises above the Town and the Day 1 begins! This is a short day and will last 24 hours. You can lynch during this day. 7 votes needed for majority.
The day will end on August 9th, 22:00 UTC or when a majority has been reached.

Current UTC time can be seen here: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/timezone/utc

also whats the point of d1 lynches anyway everyone knows they dont lead to anything

step 1 don't lynch d1 because you don't have anything to go on
step 2 don't lynch d2 because you still don't really have anything to go on
step 3 rinse and repeat for every day until maf wins

good job you win at maf

Yeah no. I'd rather not repeat last game's fiasco.

Hmmmm....
I wonder why you'd object to that?? //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink

although I'm not completely sold on "must lynch day one" meta
like I understand that it's
M A T H E M A T I C A L L Y C O R R E C T
but still :/

I don't mind first day lynches, far from it actually, provided that they have a good reason for it.

It's the first day. There are no reasons. Anyone provides a reason is lying or metaing before there's even anything to meta. D1 lynches MUST be random. Best to leave that to an actual random number generator. I might have been scum last game but I wasn't wrong.

If we all just bandwagon on a person who is only suspicious cuz he is new to the game *cough* Gosha *cough* then don't be suprised if we start losing townies fast.
RNG is the worst reason to ever accuse anyone of anything.

If we're going after someone because they're new to the game then that isn't RNG, it's picking on the new guy.

You're just buttmad RNG picked you.

So far i'm picking up some scummy vibes from the people who let RNG decide who to lynch.

Only because RNG says you. D1 you have nothing better to go on than RNG.

Then again the stuff I said about not lynching D1 also applies to RNG lynching.

Step 1: lynch w/ RNG because nothing to go on
Step 2: lynch w/ RNG because still not really anything to go on
Step 3: most likely lose w/ RNG.

That said, not lynching is a bad idea, and expecting someone to just accidentally "hey look at me I'm scum" on D1 is kinda ridiculous. I'm sticking to my RNGuns for D1.

Actually I might have lied about being able to win with the town like a few games back when I was a indie serial killer but I still said I was indie I think so that's gotta count for something.

Oh wait your claim wasn't a joke?
I legit thought everyone was joking around and just went on with my own nonsense

No I'm legit town. Never had a role I could just outright claim before. Usually I'm like an indie serial killer or an indie witch or a maf serial killer I don't think I've ever been a powerless townie before.

If you think Jawapa's an executioner out to get you I could re-roll, but we're on a limited time budget.

omg guys just stop with the RNG votes will you? RNG is not helpful in any way because it is the perfect defence. If luka comes up as townie then everyone will just be like "oh we only followed the RNG, not our fault, sucks to be him". RNG votes get us no where because they provide us with no information other than the people following it are idiots.

It's D1, there's actually nothing to go on. Discussing nothing easily leads to being manipulated by scum. No discussion = no manipulation. We can discuss tomorrow, for now let's play russian roulette.

Devlin wrote:

MrJaWapa - Started the RNG mess so slightly leaning scum but I think his actions may have had town intent.

No that's me again. I started that last game, he's just bringing it back. Although he was also the person to actually roll the dice last game, too. We didn't end up going with an RNG vote, we went with what one person said, and what do you know.

The person "we" followed happened to be mafia guiding us onto killing someone he knew was town. Good job, guys, last game you literally fell for the trick I was warning you against. Let's not do that again.

Re: Mafia 13 game [TOWN WINS!]

devlin read my post.

Look at what happened last game. I pushed for a RNG vote, but instead you guys decided to bandwagon onto a person the maf picked. You essentially gave maf a free kill D1. I mean I didn't mind at the time, since I was maf last game, but I was literally warning you guys against the exact thing that was happening

and you ignored it

for the love of all that is holy don't do it again.

is this becoming a pattern because this is the second time someone's voted to kill themselves in as many games.

Where's the discussion in that? The only way we'd be able to advance from that point is if a PR role claims and tells us some information which almost never happens.

Also diff the RNG or non RNG would not have mattered for you either way last game since your goal was to kill everyone.

Literally does not matter. I might have been scum but I was right. Not going for RNG D1 leaves you open to being mis-targeted onto a townie and that's exactly what happened last game. Let's not repeat past mistakes.

That said I'm less comfy voting for Luka after his suicide attempt. Last time someone did that they turned out to be town.

Even more uncomfy voting for EB though. Going after him solely for voting order seems like a poor excuse.

Who should we vote for then? Go back and scan through the posts and pick a target. It is never too late to vote for someone different.

Sure thing

CONTENT WARNING: STRONG LANUGAGE !!!

@Luka if you want to quit get a backup to replace you. If you're town don't go and screw over the town.

If Devlin is convincing enough you're not wrong about Luka. I'd rather get Luka replaced than lynched tho.

At least one D1 you are. If it were another day things would be different but I'm still of the opinion that D1 we're all totally blind to the point of being better off lynching randomly than trying to make sense out of nothing.

I'm saying trying to bargain for your life with them is a bit pointless. If you have something that you believe would help the town then you should help the town by posting it. Doing otherwise is odd.
