Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I think a better lobby would save EE. That's how you get retention, you prevent the game from feeling stale. Consistent updates might keep things fresh, but having new fun levels to play being released often would be better.

I mean personally I showed up and stuck around (the first while) purely for the dynamic gameplay. I could create a map... and people would show up for some reason! (Granted, they were stairs)... but at this time, everyone was basically on equal ground... and if a lowly stairs level gained players, what does that say of the player:editor ratio? There must've been excess people who were there simply to... waste time? dunno.

And before that, joining the open worlds for the first time. I was pretty stoked when I found out someone else was building a level I was in...

fwiw, IIRC the google search curve started dropping before Chris even left. So don't necessarily call out any particular update or person...

I remember the old lobby of 2011 was "thrilling". Something about the symbols next to world titles suggested they each had different elements to them. It felt like a living sandbox. Now most worlds feel cookie cutter with no discerning qualities.

The reason behind this is the lack of updates. Which is because the Staff are apparently working on the UnitEE update (though this isn't made clear?) that was announced sixteen month ago. This, stacked on top of Cape Copenhagen's year-long "summer vacation" is pushing the game to its limits like a dry desert pushes a fish to its limits.

Just to let you all know, Unity is not currently being developed because of a lack of developers since CJMaeder quit ee's developer staff So atm its not bieng developed.

I liked the old Lobby, like the one from 2010.
