Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

It's got a dumb gimmick that'll probably fall flat and never be used, I don't know how it can get more nintendo-y than that.
How is the gimmick dumb? Maybe it's not exactly revolutionary... but sounds pretty cool to be playing a big screen console game like Zelda and then you can just pick it up and keep playing if you are going on a car/plane trip etc... A powerful handheld you can plug into your TV is a pretty cool combination, it's not just a dumb gimmick.
I definitely won't buy this console now though. My Nintendo 3DS still works fine if i want to play some Nintendo. Maybe i'll think about it when the console has been more tested and received more games.

Tbh, I only want it if they release a "Super Smash Bros." title for it.

Who needs a Switch when you have BotW and a Wii U? Game works great on it, and someone who has played it for ~20 hours (And yes, I got the game on launch) would know.

Um, for the many games that will be released on it, and to be able to play Breath of the Wild anywhere? That's kind of an odd question.

In the lack of developers for their platform I don't see a bright future for Nintendo. And on this point, I don't think any developer is appealed to make a game for them. Therefor, I would rather prefer for Nintendo do make a smart contract with Sony and focus only on the software part.

Breath of the Wild is all that matters, but it's not worth 300 more USD to play anywhere. My point stands.

Perhaps to you, but not to many others.
