Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Here's a new forum game that is similar to the Mafia formula.
There will be two teams of five, the Blue Bandits and the Red Rebels.
At the beginning of the game, players will be assigned a role and a team. Players will not know who their teammates are, only their role, and their team. The goal is to determine who is on your team, and eliminate the other team to win.
The game has two phases:
Day Phase
Players will discuss and decide to lynch one player by using !vote <player>
This phase will take 72 hours, and requires a majority vote to complete.
Night Phase
Players will use their role's ability if they wish.
This phase will take 24 hours.
The roles are the same for both teams, and are as follows:
Note: Roles that have more than one command, only one command can be used each night.
The Sentry
Each night, you may assign yourself to a player.
You can either keep them from acting, or protect them from others.
Use the commands !prevent <player> or !protect <player>
The Watchman
Each night, you may stay outside a player's house.
You will be alerted if they perform an action, or if they are visited by another player.
Use the command !watch <player>
The Detective
Each night, you may investigate another player.
You can determine their role, or whether they are friend or foe.
Use the commands !findrole <player> or !findfriend <player>
The Messenger
Once per night and once per day, you may send an anonymous message to another player.
This action is immune from roleblocks and watches.
The target will receive the message at the end of the current phase.
Use the command !message <player> <message>
The Gunman
Once per game at night, you may shoot another player.
However, you are quite clumsy, and will leave evidence that you were the shooter.
Use the command !shoot <player>
Obvious rules:
1. No talking about the game outside of the thread.
2. Make sure you post at least once a day.
3. Don't take it too seriously, it's just a game.
4. No posting in the thread if you're not in the game.
5. This will be closed during the night phase.
6. I'll add more rules if necessary, but the point is just don't be a jerk.

hi folks. looking forward to the game.
I just wanted to say good luck, we're all counting on you.
I wonder how this will work. If someone claims a team truthfully, then all the other players from the other team could reveal and vote against. That would end the game.
On the other hand, if they're not telling the truth, their teammates would try and fail to lynch them (cannot vote for yourself), while also exposing themselves.
wait so how

Hey hi
Im having the feeling that the concept is a but flawed but w/e let's roll
Now what
Actually having a vote on Day 1 is kind of dumb since no-one knows anything.
Day 1 is now 24 hours long, and there is no vote.
well it looks like we're sitting still. Onjit you should be using some form of green to offset the blue and red but that's an opinion I guess.
I guess we could have friendly banter for 24h

How spooky. We have a potential target but we're still left with an interesting predicament. We don't know if Rudik was Red or Blue.
But really why did he try to ... throw away the gun? That's odd. A rudik quirk?
I guess if his home had many guns, we don't know that Rudik actually came with a gun. maybe he was a messenger and had a scuffle? How in-depth is this flavor?

well the investigative people could end up scanning enough folks to determine who's on what team... which would be a few days of awkward silence in the thread
actually I guess the blues have the game locked in. If the blues simply abstain from voting, they'd be revealed. However, since there are no means of death besides lynching, they needn't worry because they control the means of lynching.
so I guess this game is over
well I mean, provided the people playing are actually here to vote. if not, it becomes a game of "who cares enough to post"
