Mafia 9 Game Thread (MAFIA + MAXI WIN!!!)
The important differences between this game and previous ones are listed in the signup thread. I'm lazy so I copypasted Rhaz's rule list.
1. All forum rules apply, however spam and multi-posting rules are more lenient. So long as your posts are relevant to the game it shouldn't be an issue, but don't push it.
2. Do not post in this thread unless you are alive in the game. All posts made by dead players and people not in the game will be deleted. No exceptions.
3. You may not edit or delete your posts. This function will be disabled in this game.
4. Do not quote someone else's post and edit for misleading purposes.
5. You must stay active and contribute to discussion to stay in the game. If you stay inactive too long, you will be prodded for inactivity and replaced if you don't respond to the prod within 24 hours. Earning more than one prod will result in you being replaced or modkilled.
6. Do not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any message sent by the game moderator for any reason. Paraphrasing is allowed, such as saying what your role is or does, but don't copy paste an entire role pm word for word.
7. Do not gamethrow. Gamethrowing is defined as actively working against your role/faction's win condition, and is dealt with on a case by case basis.
8. As soon as a majority is reached, it counts as the day being over. The moderator may not be there to lock the thread immediately so do not post after majority is reached.
9. You may not talk about the game with living players through any means other than the game thread and Mafia night chat. No exceptions.
10. Remember that this is just a game. If I see any form of harassment that may warrant a replacement or modkill.
11. If any player breaks any of these rules please private message me on the forums and I will deal with it. Do not use the forums report feature to report someone breaking one of the game rules unless they are also breaking a forum rule.
12. The moderator's word is final. If I say not to do something it means don't do it. If you have an issue then it's best to save until the end of the game as to not interfere with the game.

My second vote on Jawapa wasn't really a joke despite the multiple !'s. I feel like him trying to get himself killed instead of going for a replacement is a bit suspicious.
Also as for me playing dumb, it's my first actual maf game Lol. I'm tryin. It's not playing dumb, it's just being dumb.

On top of this, a few times I felt like all the joking going on D1 might have been this kind of thing. If everyone's funposting 24/7 then basically nothing can be used against anyone because "LOOL MAN I WAS JUST FUNPOSTING YOU CAN'T HOLD THAT AGAINST ME" for absolutely everything.

I think you're right when you said you barely understand what's going on, because Kirby is in no way getting a free ride. I'd like him to do a few reads and tell us about a bit about his role though.
Yet again you dorks still have no proof of anything. Im not voting for Kuba until i believe he is mafia.
Did you not read Jawapa's posts? He's a cop. He investigated Zumza. He doesn't even know whether he got a result, or if he was roleblocked. I don't think proof is physically possible in this game. If you're waiting around for proof then please stop, because it's not coming. Read the topic, read the people, and make a decision on who you think is most suspicious. Then convince the rest of us and vote to lynch them.
You actually remind me a bit of me in my first mafia game. D1 I wanted a nolynch because we had 0 information to go on. But someone pointed out that relying on information of some kind to magically appear on D2 or even later wasn't a good strategy. You can't just not lynch anybody until someone slips up or until an investigator role shows up to save the day. If that worked then it wouldn't be a good game.
And I actually find this change of heart incredibly suspicious. D1 you said nothing about absolutely requiring hard proof to vote for bimps. He turned out to be town. But today we go after kuba for not participating AT ALL and suddenly you require proof? Yeah, that's not shady at all. Why the double standard? What makes kuba special?
I'm just a citizen names Bruce. No special abilities.

Unau's attitude is basically unreadable. He played similarly in that game that got him blacklisted and turned out to be town. Regardless, he's not helping town at all with his dumb posting, so I'm inclined to lean him slightly towards scum out of principle.
Kuba is basically just Unau with a citizen claim and a random vote on JaWapa, which both make him a bit more suspicious but still pretty blank of a character. Not much to read upon.
Also, can we talk about Kirby's bruce claim? I find it odd that bruce apparently doesn't have any special abilities, but I can't imagine there is more than one Bruce so if nobody counterclaims he's basically confirmed town. Or maybe Bruce is evil. Who knows.
Maybe Kirby is a target of the mafia and gave himself away, costing the town majorly, which I think could be a big possibility actually.I find it a little odd that nobody has questioned JaWapa's sheriff claim at all so far. Usually those come with a good deal of skepticism. JaWapa isn't confirmed town at this point like a bunch of people seem to be assuming, just remember that. He still has a town lean for me though, and, by extension, Zumza. Just wanted to bring up the fact that we still don't know anything at all right now.
Here's a bit of theorizing about some master plan here: marco's absurd vig kill on Pyro was not out of provocation, but marco is actually a serial killer which is why there was a second kill. I mean, with 17 players, there's probably going to be multiple killing roles, right? This is a bit tinfoil hat-ish though so never mind.
I'm willing to believe that Smitty is citizen at this point. The Good Proc has deemed it so.
maxi and different are both contributing to discussion well enough for them to go under my radar.
As for luka, just because he makes terrible points doesn't mean he's suspicious. Him protecting Kuba after being on Bimps though is worth paying attention to, though.
