Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

So after game 6, I decided I would phase out some mechanics I consider to be a crutch. I already don't use last wills, but starting this game I will remove two things. Night feedback is being removed, meaning you won't be told if you get roleblocked, if an attack against you fails, or any other action is performed on you. Dying and investigative results are the exception. Secondly, I will no longer distinguish how any player dies. I will no longer say killed by the Mafia/Serial Killer/Vigilante, and will just say a player died last night.
To start this out, I will be doing a tried and true setup from Mafiascum.
One of the rows or columns will be picked by RNG, and those 3 roles will be used. 5 Citizens and 1 Mafia goon will be added to create a 9 player game.
The following rules are in play, and please don't talk about the game outside of the thread/Mafia chat under any circumstance without my permission. No exceptions.
1. All forum rules apply, however spam and multi-posting rules are more lenient. So long as your posts are relevant to the game it shouldn't be an issue, but don't push it.
2. Do not post in this thread unless you are alive in the game. All posts made by dead players and people not in the game will be deleted. No exceptions.
3. You may not edit or delete your posts. This function will be disabled in this game.
4. Do not quote someone else's post and edit for misleading purposes.
5. You must stay active and contribute to discussion to stay in the game. If you stay inactive too long, you will be prodded for inactivity and replaced if you don't respond to the prod within 24 hours. Earning more than one prod will result in you being replaced or modkilled.
6. Do not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any message sent by the game moderator for any reason. Paraphrasing is allowed, such as saying what your role is or does, but don't copy paste an entire role pm word for word.
7. Do not gamethrow. Gamethrowing is defined as actively working against your role/faction's win condition, and is dealt with on a case by case basis.
8. As soon as a majority is reached, it counts as the day being over. The moderator may not be there to lock the thread immediately so do not post after majority is reached.
9. You may not talk about the game with living players through any means other than the game thread and Mafia night chat. No exceptions.
10. Remember that this is just a game. If I see any form of harassment that may warrant a replacement or modkill.
11. If any player breaks any of these rules please private message me on the forums and I will deal with it. Do not use the forums report feature to report someone breaking one of the game rules unless they are also breaking a forum rule.
12. The moderator's word is final. If I say not to do something it means don't do it. If you have an issue then it's best to save until the end of the game as to not interfere with the game.

You know, for a town with a population of 9 people, you'd think we'd all know eachother's professions.

Please learn to count.
um source??????
Maxi123 are you mafia?
Wait i think im doing this wrongProcessor wrote:Since SmittyW LIED to us in his votecounts from last game, I am no longer trusting anyone's votecounts.
Did he? When?
Maxi! You're so defensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm actually going to put a nolynch on the record in case we do. The risk of mislynching due to no data is too high to be worth lynching.
!nolynch
I'm on the fence about actually voting bc although if we don't start voting quickly things may get out of hand, there's too little people playing for us to get it wrong.
!vote Kaslai
He's been scum before, he'll be scum again. Let's clean the floor before it gets dirty.
quickhammer me daddy
um
hardclaiming cus you have 2 lives, to figure out the setup, not so bad idea but... why do it now?
i mean you could at least wait for d2 or when the mafia doesnt do a kill, instead of hardclaiming when we're all still on the fun mode
I don't see an issue with it. Better we know now then lose a townie N1, or we figure it out when bulletproof gets shot N1.
As usual, AlphaJon, I'll wait for everyone to acknowledge your claim before I believe you.
Well I've completely lost track of everything
Oh darn I forgot about that consort
you sexy devil~
Roleblock me daddy
Kaslai wrote:But the maths break down when you take into account the fact that if the bulletproof did a valid counterclaim, the mafia then knows who it is... Which then makes the mafia 100% likely to NOT attack that person.
I'd rather have a confirmed town than a small chance to gain a night.
A counterclaim would give us a clear and a scum, though, and would tell us which setup we're playing. I think that all would work well for us.
I'm curious as to what would have happened if there was a bulletproof. I don't envision that would have ended well for you, AlphaJon.
@Everyone: why do you consider a real bulletproof claim a bad thing? That's one confirmed town, and by confirming people you get mafia.
There are good and bad sides to it. Mafia probably won't bother going for the bulletproof when they know who it is, bc it'll waste a night, and it'll give town more time to find them out. On the other hand, we'll have a clear, and one that has more of a chance of staying alive. As well as that, if there were counterclaims, we'd have a possible mafia.
BUT, it looks like there aren't any bulletproofs at all, so we've eliminated 2 possible combinations.
I think your plan for this is riddled with holes. There are a lot of cases where it simply wouldn't have worked. You've got us started up though, so I'm glad for that.

Standing by this, but like Maxi I don't want to hammer a nolynch just yet.
