It is afternoon of april 8th, but the deadline finished a few hours ago, even though the OP says it ends on April 9th... o_o  I'd expect it to end at 11:59 PM on April 9th, but it's ending 1.4 days early.. I believe we should get another 1.4 days to work on our levels, so thus every timezone in the world is satisfied with this due date and not just transylvania (or wherever this timezone that is 34 hours ahead of me is.) The latest timezone with human civilization is American Samoa- Pago Pago, Niue (Alofi), Midway Islands, Jarvis Isl., Kingman Reef, Palmyra Atoll UTC-11, so I think it should end then. Many people who wanted to finish it at the last minute probably weren't able to submit cuz of this nonsense, resulting in tons of unsubmitted levels. Plus not everyone checks the two topics literally 24/7, so people may have simply only read the topic post and not realized it's ending ~TWO DAYS before the originally proposed deadline. Saturday is a crucial day, it should be given to people because weekdays are very busy, and we literally only got one weekend to work on it. Only about 60 teams submitted, which is kind of pathetic when about 150 teams signed up, but with crucial information being embedded in random pages within topics that most people will probably miss and deadlines that LIE, it's actually not so surprising.

TL;DR: MOAR TIME !

While I'm not partaking, I'm somewhat following developments related to this contest, and have opinionezzz.
I agree with that iPwner writes. Here's why:

This is crucial for my reasoning: participants should not get disqualified just because they searched for a "Submit Your Levels Here" thread at the very last moment.
In other words, if the "Registration and Rules" thread - note the "Rules" word in there - makes it somewhat unclear when deadlines are, contest organizers should be lenient.
The announcement-image says "26 March - 9 April" and the accompanying text says "26 of March-9 of April".
No timezones were mentioned, while this submit-thread suddenly uses London time.
No times were mentioned, while this submit-thread suddenly uses the start of the day.
So that hyphen-minus ("-") seems to have turned into: up to, but not including(!) 9 April, in London(!).
Even though the "Registration and Rules" thread makes it quite unclear when the exact deadlines are.
You can tell it's unclear by reading through the reactions in that thread.
It took until page 11 for someone to write "your dates overlap".
It took until page 8 for someone to ask: "What timezone?"
Someone guessed UTC. Then someone asked for a countdown clock. Someone else put up a countdown clock that used New York time.
TOOP even wrote: "Due to time zone differences, the deadline will have some leniency."
It's still 9 April for thirteen more hours where I live. If I'd search for a submission thread right now - it's not even halfway the day in UTC time - I get to read: "Deadline has been reached."
Yes, that thread has a countdown clock, but what if a participant arrives last minute, going by just what is in the rules thread...

They do not judge the world that is saved on the server, they create a copy of all the worlds and judge it in a private server (or offline, idk). Toop said something like this earlier.

i dont think 2 hours is enough to pick 15 best worlds + honorable mentions when the decision is made by 4 people which have to achieve agreement + theres a crapload of worlds and you have to analyse every single one of them
