Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

My 6 year old nephew can't beat buuwuu's stronghold. I agree and it is not basic... Please nerf campaign.
He hates the vine part at the beginning and the rest is too hard for him

He's your nephew and you let him rage quit like that... teach the kid how to be a pro.

For my 8 old (today birthday ) the most hard thing was indifferent between foreground and background
He just can't understand what blocks are foreground and what are background , that's why he goes in wrong direction

I wonder if having seven difficulties would be better.
technically there's already eight nine: basic, basic-easy, easy, easy-medium, medium, medium-hard, hard, hard-extreme, extreme

Buuwuu's stronghold is easy, except for this part.
Here you have to do a jumping uppercut or something with the jump effect.
But the vines next to me are really annoying since they can mess up my jump entirely.
How long will it take me to get banned again?
Place your bets right here.

Two-key keyboard restriction. That mini is not basic #nuffsaid
I helped my nephew w/ the campaign though. The next level was a bit easier but hard for him at parts.
Or just remove this vine. Without it it's really easy.
Basic.

I just watched a new user who I will call MrZoom attempt this jump, fail, skip it and continue forwards until he ran into a coin door and blue team effect. Then he runs back, and tries again without jump effect (because he lost it). Heads back to the jump effect only to realize it had been blocked when he got the blue team effect. He climbs back up and hits red team effect to get to the jump, only to keep hitting his head and fall. He gives up and tries exploring the later part of the level, only to disable his jump again. This happened 3 times in total before he gave up and left.
What if MrZoom thought there could be another coin to grab, and he could return to grab the gold coin later with the fly effect he saw the winners using in that area (especially since the jump may be impossible for him anyways)? Clearly this isn't normal level design, but how is a new player to know this? Or maybe MrZoom is just really, really dumb.

Maybe since this is a basic level, or supposed to be, have the signs GUIDE the player across the level

I don't think you need knowledge of EE to understand that though, there are a lot of games out there where there isn't much guidance and you have to use your brain a bit to figure out what to do. Having an area that is visible, but not accessible until later in the game, is a feature of level design that appears across many games, not just EE. The only time where knowledge of EE would help you in this example is knowing that the levitate effect exists, and knowing what it looks like. But again, there are a lot of games that don't give much guidance and this sort of thing can be figured out if you just do a bit of experimenting and a bit of exploring.
That said, I thought basic levels were supposed to have a more tutorial-ish feel to them, but to me this sounds more like something that belongs in easy. I do think that basic levels should be new player friendly, but this level isn't from what I've seen (however this is likely due to new players' lack of skill and experience, rather than their lack of knowledge of blocks, effects etc).
thx for sig bobithan
