Mafia | Game 5 - Mafia/Witch Victory: The New Law

How to Play

Everybody will be assigned a role via random.org. Depending on your role, you’ll have a different win condition.
Town Win Condition: Kill every player not part of the town.
Mafia Win Condition: Kill every player that won’t submit to the mafia.
Witch Win Condition: Survive and take out town. Basically same mafia’s wincon, but has to survive.

During the day, the town can vote on a player to be lynched. There will have no defense, judgement, etc. Once someone gets the majority, this player is out of the game and the night starts. Days last 5 days or 120 hours, however, if the majority votes for a nolynch, it might end earlier.

To vote, you must use “!vote [player]/!nolynch”, bold and use it in a separate paragraph. Remember, voting =/= lynching. You can vote anyone you want whenever you want, it won’t automatically make you suspicious. Pressure votes are recommended.

During the night, any PR role can choose who they’re going to target. Mafia can chat with themselves while the town can make their reads. Nights last 2 days or 48 hours, however, if everybody chooses to skip the night, it might end earlier.

Whenever someone dies, I’ll reveal their role and their will, unless the janitor does a cleaning.

Factional Kill: Anyone in the mafia can sacrifice their night action to perform the factional kill. Roleblocking the mafia who's doing the kill will result in no kill.

Mafia Chat: Mafia Chat is open during the day and the night, so they can plan their moves. Nobody but them can see the chat or what they say, so if you’re mafia, post whatever you want in the chat.

Graveyard Chat: During the night, the dead players can chat among themselves and the medium, if there’s one. The medium is not forced to reveal his identity or be anonymous. However, the medium can’t just copy-paste the dead chat.

Last Wills/Death Notes: Yes, you can use them by putting /will or /dn and opening a quote. Last Wills will show up to town once you're dead, unless you were cleaned by the janitor. You can also use Death Notes if you're a killing role such as town killing or mafia (I don't recommend you use death note as mafia unless you want to cause something).

Rules
1. Forum Rules apply. With the exception of spam and off-topic, but don’t exaggerate.
2. Respect other players. You’re allowed to scream at them, but don’t go off hand.
3. Don’t gamethrow. Gamethrow is work against your faction wincon, such revealing your mafia team or purposely getting town lynched. Jesting counts as gamethrowing, because there’s no jester.
4. Don’t cheat. I listed all role cards so paraphrasing meta wouldn’t work. Screenshoting your role will make you automatically the lynch target.
5. If you’re dead, you can no longer post in the game thread or in the mafia chat. However, you can post at the graveyard chat during night.
6. Don’t post outside the game thread or the quicktopics I provide. Don’t even try to, I’ll catch you no matter what.
7. This game is for everyone. However, to improve the experience, if you’re known as a toxic/gamethrower/inactive player, I’ll have to blacklist you.
8. Have fun. Don’t stress out.

Prods: If you don't post anything for 24 hours, you'll receive a prod and you'll get another 24 hours to post in the thread or be replaced. If the post seems to don't bring anything, I am going to inform you that your prod hasn't expired. Three prods and you're out, so be active.

▼Town Investigative

Lookout

You are a Lookout.

Your alignment is Town Investigative.

You are a sharp eyed-individual that can recognize people from afar.
In the past people would pay you to watch over them to make sure that nobody would enter or leave their residence unnoticed.
However, since the Mafia invasion, you have decided to use your skills to help eliminate the Mafia.

You may watch one person each night.
You will see who visits that person each night, should someone visit.
You may not watch yourself and you will not know the roles of the visitors, only that they visited.

Goal: Eliminate mafia and all evildoers.

Lookout Results:
X, Y and Z visited your target. (RNGed, no meta for you)
Nobody has visited your target.

Sheriff

You are a Sheriff.

Your alignment is Town Investigative.

You are the Sheriff in this town and your role is to enforce the law.

Every night you have the ability to investigate one town member to see if they're up to anything suspicious.
If your target is a member of the Mafia, you will know, but you can't see the Witch. Framed targets will also show up as mafia.

Goal: Eliminate mafia and all evildoers.

Sheriff Results:
Mafia/Framed Town: Your target is a member of the mafia!
Town/Witch: Your target is not suspicious.

▼Town Protective

Bodyguard

You are a Bodyguard.

Your alignment is Town Protective.

You are a trained bodyguard, capable of throwing yourself into harm's way to save your client.

Each night you can choose one player to protect. If your target is attacked, both you and the attacker die instead, you can't be saved from death in that case.
You also have 1 bulletproof vest. If somebody tries to attack you when you wear a bulletproof vest, they will receive a message saying that you were immune.
However, you can only use this vest for one night, so choose wisely.

Goal: Eliminate mafia and all evildoers.

Bodyguard Results:
You died protecting your target.
Someone tried to attack you, but your bulletproof vest saved you.

Doctor

You are a Doctor.

Your alignment is Town Protective.

You are this town's doctor, and have kept everybody healthy for years.

You have the ability to visit one person each night. If they are attacked that night, you arrive just in time to save their life.
If your target is attacked, both you and your target will receive a message saying your target was attacked but healed.
You can only use the self-heal once, regardless of if you are attacked or not that night, so use it wisely.

Goal: Eliminate mafia and all evildoers.

Doctor Results:
Your target was attacked last night!
You were attacked, but you healed yourself!
You were attacked, but someone nursed you back to health!

▼Town Killing

Veteran

You are a Veteran.

Your alignment is Town Killing.

You're a war-hardened soldier who is living out his retirement in the small and calm town of Salem.
But your retirement is short-lived, as people begin dying when the Mafia comes to town.
Luckily you still have your gun with you and you can use it to go on alert, killing anyone who comes to your house that night.

Going on alert makes you kill anybody who comes to your house that night, both evil and good, so use this power carefully or you will do more harm than good.
You are immune to attacks and any other night actions besides investigative while on alert.
You can go on alert only 2 times throughout the game.

Goal: Eliminate all mafia and evildoers.

Veteran Results:
You shot someone last night.
You shot # people last night. (if more than one)

Vigilante

You are a Vigilante.

Your alignment is Town Killing.

You believe that the law of this town is useless against the evil-doers in your town and have decided to take matters into your own hands.

Each night you may decide to shoot and kill one town member you believe to be evil.
However, if the person you shoot turns out to be Town, you will be overcome with grief and vow never to shoot again.
You only have 3 bullets, allowing you to perform your night action up to 3 times. Make them count.
You can not shoot on the first night.

Goal: Eliminate mafia and all evildoers.

Vigilante Results:
Your target was immune to your shot.
You decided to take away your gun of guilt.

▼Town Support

Escort

You are an Escort.

Your alignment is Town Support.

You are this town's escort, usually providing various pleasures in exchange for money.
But, now that evil people are overrunning this town, you decide to use your "skills" to help the town.

Each night you can choose one player to visit. You will spend the night with your target, who will be too busy to use their role that night, effectively roleblocking them.
Your target will be informed that they were roleblocked.
You are immune to being roleblocked.

Goal: Eliminate mafia and all evildoers.

Escort Results:
Someone tried to roleblock you, but you are immune.

Medium

You are a Medium.

Your alignment is Town Support.

You are a powerful psychic who can communicate with the dead.
The dead cannot comprehend our speech, and we cannot comprehend theirs. That is where you come in - you are the translator in the middle!

During the day, you can a dead member to open a quicktopic chat with. You can freely speak with them during one night.
However, the dead words are cursed, if you quote, copy-paste or link to the quickchat, you're going to die.

Goal: Eliminate mafia and all evildoers.

▼Citizen

Citizen

You are a Citizen.

You don't have any special ability and just try to live your life in peace.

Each day you get to vote in an attempt to remove the Mafia from the community.

Goal: Eliminate mafia and all evildoers.

▼Mafia Support

Blackmailer

You are the Blackmailer.

Everyone who knows you doesn't want anything to do with you, but typically it's too late by then. Heck, even among the Mafia you are given the cold shoulder. With a smile almost creepily plastered on your face all the time, you have an unhealthy obsession with your job more so than any other member, and that's just what the Godfather wanted. You are the Blackmailer.

Each night you may track a single player, you are informed of who he/she visit.
You can also anonymously send someone messages whenever you want. Doing the factional kill won't sacrifice this action.
You can communicate with your allies, day or night, for as long as they are alive.

Your allies are X the Framer/Janitor and Y the Random Mafia

Goal: Put down town and anyone opposing your faction.

Consigliere

You are a Consigliere

Your alignment is Mafia Support.

You were a successful investigator in your early days. However, you quickly learned that playing fair doesn't pay and when the Godfather approached you and asked for you to join them, your choice was easy.
These days, you work as a Consigliere for the Mafia, figuring out what role every person plays in a town to help them make quick work of the towns they take over.

Every night you can choose to target one player.
You'll investigate them that night, finding out their exact role.
You can communicate with your allies each night, for as long as they are alive.
You can communicate with your allies, day or night, for as long as they are alive.

Your allies are X the Framer/Janitor and Y the Random Mafia.

Goal: Put down town and anyone opposing your faction.

Consigliere Results:
Your target has a good vision. He/She must be Lookout.
Your target gathers info. He/She must be Sheriff.
Your target is watching you. He/She must be Spy.
Your target is strong and ready to take someone down. He/She must be Bodyguard.
Your target owns a medical kit. He/She must be Doctor.
Your target is pretty scared. He/She must be Veteran.
Your target wants to do justice himself/herself. He/She must be Vigilante.
Your target looks attractive. He/She must be Escort.
Your target speaks with himself/herself. He/She must be Medium.
Your target rocks at sleeping. He/She must be Citizen.
Your target would blackmail you for wasting a night. He/She must be Blackmailer.
Your target is investigating himself/herself. He/She must be Consigliere.
Your target smiles at you. He/She must be Consort.
Your target blames you. He/She must be Framer.
Your target wipes the floor. He/She must be Janitor.
Your target works with voodoo. He/She must be Witch.

Consort

You are a Consort.

Your alignment is Mafia Support.

You were once an escort, giving away services to give your client's pleasure in exchange for money.
You hated it, however, and felt used every night.
Once the mafia came into town, you didn't hesitate one moment and managed to join them, offering to use your "skills" to distract townsfolk while each and every one of them was murdered.

Every night you can choose to target one player.  You'll distract them that night, roleblocking them.
Your target will be informed that they were roleblocked.
You are immune to being roleblocked.
You can communicate with your allies, day or night, for as long as they are alive.

Your allies are X the Framer/Janitor and Y the Random Mafia.

Consort Results:
Someone tried to roleblock you, but you are immune.

Framer

You are a Framer.

Your alignment is Mafia Deceptive.

You are a framer, skilled at forging documents.
With your skill, the Mafia was glad to hire you in exchange for your services.

Each night you have the ability to frame one player of your choice. If they're inspected by the Sheriff that night, it'll say they're a Mafia member.
You can communicate with your allies, day or night, for as long as they are alive.

Your allies are X the Blackmailer/Consigliere/Consort and Y the Random Mafia.

Goal: Put down town and anyone opposing your faction.

Janitor

You are a Janitor.

Your alignment is Mafia Deceptive.

You are a janitor, hired by the mafia for your skilled method of cleaning crime scenes.
You can clean a crime scene, hiding the role of somebody who died that night.

Each night you can choose to clean a player. If that player dies that night, their role won't be revealed to the town upon death. However, you WILL see what their role is. Their last will will also be revealed to you and hidden from the rest of the town.
It doesn't matter who kills your target or what side your target is on, the only thing that matters is that they die that night for your skill to work. If your target doesn't die, it will still use up one of your cleanings.
You can only choose to clean a target 3 times during the entire game.
You can communicate with your allies, day or night, for as long as they are alive.

Your allies are X the Blackmailer/Consigliere/Consort and Y the Random Mafia.

Goal: Put down town and anyone opposing your faction.

▼Witch

Witch

You are a Witch.

You hate these townsfolk. Every last one of them. They act like witches are evil, not realizing the great things your magic can do.
You'll show them, you'll show them all how powerful your magic is! They'll pay for forcing you to hide like this!

Every night you can choose somebody to control and somebody who you want your controlled player to use their ability on.
You won't be informed of the end result of your controlling or even if the one you controlled had an ability to use at all!
You'll have to pay close attention to learn people's abilities and use them to make the townsfolk suffer.
Your expertise in magic also taught you defensive spells. You have perfected a magical immunity shield, which shrouds your body.
It will discharge the instant you are attacked without protection. Once the shield has discharged these attacks will harm you, like any other non-magic user.
The attacker will only know of your immunity to their attack. The Veteran and Jailor are immune to this shield.
You are immune to being roleblocked.

Also, heres something I just came up with:

There was only one kill last night. Meaning that there might be only one active Mafia member. If this is the case, then !nb4 and pyro could both be Mafia.

the whole mafia faction picks one target every night and kills them, not every mafia member individually

but for some reason my first day 1 post: "wait, so not posting makes you a suspect? well, okay i guess.", was some sort of defense, making me a top suspect.

Yes, I probably should've explained my first vote, and that was my own fault because I forgot and I couldn't edit it back into the post. But, we all know he was being a general nuisance, so I thought it wouldn't have mattered either way.
