Mafia 4 game thread (Day 2)

Do not post in this thread unless you are in the game.
If you wish to join go to the signups thread and join the backup queue. If a player needs to be replaced out the first person in the backup queue will take their spot.

The following rules are in play for the game, and I will be stricter on these rules than I was last time.

1. All forum rules apply, however spam and multi-posting rules are more lenient. So long as your posts are relevant to the game it shouldn't be an issue, but don't push it.

2. Do not post in this thread unless you are alive in the game. All posts made by dead players and people not in the game will be deleted.

3. You may not edit or delete your posts. This function will be disabled in this game.

4. Do not quote someone else's post and edit for misleading purposes.

5. You must stay active and contribute to discussion to stay in the game. If you stay inactive too long, you will be prodded for inactivity and replaced if you don't respond to the prod within 24 hours. Earning more than one prod will result in you being replaced or modkilled.

6. Do not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any message sent by the game moderator for any reason. Paraphrasing is allowed, such as saying your night result or what your role is, but don't copy paste an entire role pm.

7. Do not gamethrow. Gamethrowing is defined as actively working against your role/faction's win condition, and is dealt with on a case by case basis.

8. As soon as a majority is reached, it counts as the day being over. The moderator may not be there to lock the thread immediately so do not post after majority is reached.

9. You may not talk about the game with living players through any means other than the game thread and Mafia night chat.

10. Remember that this is just a game. If I see any form of harassment that may warrant a replacement or modkill.

11. If any player breaks any of these rules please private message me on the forums and I will deal with it. Do not use the forums report feature to report someone breaking one of the game rules unless they are also breaking a forum rule.

12. The moderator's word is final.

If you have any questions you can pm me or post in this thread, however keep in mind that questions relating to the current game I will likely not be able to answer, so only ask about game mechanics.

Ok. Mafia didn't kill. I like Maxi's diagram the best. Im assuming the roleblocked option is the most likely.

W24- Woah there, buddy. Can you explain yourself?

Also I feel like everyone should not out D1 lmao, like having everyone say what their night actions are right off the bat is dumb, right? Even if we catch one person in a lie or whatever that still leaves two that will now know everyones role..

Why do you think w24 is town? He outted you as a suspect and then never explained himself. I suppose he could be a jester type role, though.

And why did you say Tako is town? Just because he's inactive? Isn't that what last game had people suspecting Zooey?

As for creature- I can't tell if he just goofed, or made a scumslip. He always plays so aggressively and that usually makes me suspicious. To be fair, though he could've just been afk until after cali claimed rb. Overall I'd say I suspect him the most (??)

Zoey wasn't scum last day, what is your point?
Looking back, history has thought us that most active members are more likely to be a PR or Scum.

I had only asked because in the previous game rhaz made a point of saying that passive (inactive) people are usually mafia and everyone yelled at me when I disagreed

@creature- saying you aren't mafia because you "wouldn't kill" is a terrible and unprovable (is that a word?) alibi based on hypotheticals.

Like processor said, Anak has shown his playstyle in the last couple games, and while I'm not convinced he's telling the truth, this would be a deviation from character for him.

As for w24, don't you think a new player would make the mistake of pressuring too hard and too fast right off the bat? I mean it just seems like a newbie mistake...? I'm not really sure where I stand on him right now, i would like him to explain himself.

I'm getting bad vibes from w24 still. I know it's probably that he's just new, but it seems awfully scummy to just point fingers without proper argumentation all while staying under the radar.

Also maxi, I think playing aggressively isn't a valid alibi. You were in the last game and saw how people claimed mafia was always passive. So if you're mafia you might have been trying to place suspicion on calicara or whoever through "jokes"..

I'm still not 100% sure of where I stand on any of you- I'll try to collect my thoughts and post reads later.

As for the lynch vs nolynch situation, I say we lynch. I get what you're saying, maxi, but this no kill situation was probably luck and isn't likely to happen again. So if we give them more and more time, it's not gonna end well.

Ok I just went back and re-read all the pages so I think I'm caught up.

Processor- He's being VERY pushy and has changed votes like 200 times. I really, really, REALLY want to say that this makes him scummy because he could be trying to make us believe him just through sheer force of personality. That being said, if he was mafia, he's not doing a very good job. He's changing targets too much to be trying to put the pressure on specific players. Also the fact that he's changed his vote so much could have him go both ways. On one hand, if he was mafia, he could be trying to confuse the town. But if he's town he could just be changing his mind a lot.

Overall, I'm not going to make the mistake I made last game and assume the pushy person is mafia and doggedly go after them (because as it turns out, I gave said pushy person too much credit). But i'm still suspicious  of anyone who just declares themselves to be a town leader without any evidence besides their big personality to back them up.

Zoey- I'm with Processor on her, but maybe not enough to vote. Yet.  We know that you're active on the forums, but you just refuse to post here? Saying that "Well I never contribute so..." isn't an alibi. Lurking is super suspicious. I have nothing else to say that proc didn't already point out.

Maxi-You've been super quick to defend yourself. I think that this could be seen as a tell. You did the same thing that Hostage did last game with the "haha I'm going to make a joke", and then he turned out to be mafia. I dont think thats a valid reason to lynch you, however. But your excuses have been pretty thin.

W24- I still dont know why Processor is so convinced that you're town. Although since you have begun posting I've been growing less and less suspicious of you. I dont have much else to say.

Onjit- Different timezone, blah blah blah, but what he has posted has been at least kinda helpful (unlike zoey -.-)

Anak- I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't still a little confused on what happened with the whole Calicara/RB thing, but I suppose that'll be solved soon enough when her role is revealed.

AFK PEOPLE- nothing to say except tako's looking p bad with NEVER POSTING.

I forgot to do Creature- Kinda suspcious of him. He stopped posting a lot after people began suspecting him. This makes me think that he could be mafia because of the whole "oh **** I should be more passive" shtick that mafia tends to do. Nothing concrete on him yet from me, though.
