Mafia 4 game thread (Day 2)

Do not post in this thread unless you are in the game.
If you wish to join go to the signups thread and join the backup queue. If a player needs to be replaced out the first person in the backup queue will take their spot.

The following rules are in play for the game, and I will be stricter on these rules than I was last time.

1. All forum rules apply, however spam and multi-posting rules are more lenient. So long as your posts are relevant to the game it shouldn't be an issue, but don't push it.

2. Do not post in this thread unless you are alive in the game. All posts made by dead players and people not in the game will be deleted.

3. You may not edit or delete your posts. This function will be disabled in this game.

4. Do not quote someone else's post and edit for misleading purposes.

5. You must stay active and contribute to discussion to stay in the game. If you stay inactive too long, you will be prodded for inactivity and replaced if you don't respond to the prod within 24 hours. Earning more than one prod will result in you being replaced or modkilled.

6. Do not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any message sent by the game moderator for any reason. Paraphrasing is allowed, such as saying your night result or what your role is, but don't copy paste an entire role pm.

7. Do not gamethrow. Gamethrowing is defined as actively working against your role/faction's win condition, and is dealt with on a case by case basis.

8. As soon as a majority is reached, it counts as the day being over. The moderator may not be there to lock the thread immediately so do not post after majority is reached.

9. You may not talk about the game with living players through any means other than the game thread and Mafia night chat.

10. Remember that this is just a game. If I see any form of harassment that may warrant a replacement or modkill.

11. If any player breaks any of these rules please private message me on the forums and I will deal with it. Do not use the forums report feature to report someone breaking one of the game rules unless they are also breaking a forum rule.

12. The moderator's word is final.

If you have any questions you can pm me or post in this thread, however keep in mind that questions relating to the current game I will likely not be able to answer, so only ask about game mechanics.

If we are all PRs then as time goes on, we should be getting more info, assuming Zelda wasn't the only source of information we had.

Mafia not killing is strange, but then again, so is this town. I don't think we can make any solid assumptions off of that.

Defense is part of the game, it isn't a reason to believe somebody is mafia. Everybody should and does defend themselves.
I don't like your reasoning.

Lynching must happen, it's how we protect ourselves. But we need solid reason and judgement behind it. A mys-lynch is worse than no lynch, but it is a necessary risk.

This is the second time you strongly defend Creature. That is a fact and you cannot really say it didn't happen because it did.

i didnt defend him. i questioned the accusations on him to see if it would be a valid choice to lynch him.

it was D1 and we were joking around while cali seemed to take the joke too seriously and was about to go overly defensive about it like she did in game 3

162 isn't really defense, 163 is completely valid pointing out Calicara's mistake and 169 is normal defense ending with a questionable vote. Nothing really warranting a vote on him.
Of course now people are gonna think I'm defending maxi when all I'm trying to do is question W24. yay.

7 votes for a majority seems incredibly difficult with how divided we are and will be.

Today has been a lot of speculation about night events with too many variables and not enough information. And of course, because this is mafia, whatever information we do have is likely to be false and intentionally misleading. All of these self-aware-meta-mindgames posts look nice on paper, but they don't really get us anywhere.

You used to be a humble baker, but the Mafia started to shake down your business for protection money. What's worse is that nobody even supported you in the Town and just left you to be under the control of the Mafia. You decided that once and for all you would put an end to everyone who wronged you.

Each night you may deliver a poison muffin to a player, killing them. If someone attempts to roleblock you you will feed them a poison muffin instead. You are immune to most normal forms of death at night, however on good word you've been told of one person in the Town that even you are no match for.

You win when all of the Town and Mafia are dead

i am so, so sorry. i shouldn't have asked calicara what her role was. i shouldn't have taken advantage of her being drunk. i'm obviously really bad at this game so i'mma just not play anymore lol

While it was kind of stinky move, it was also stinkilly irresponsible for Calicara to get drunk and risk revealing herself. I think it is more-so Calicara's fault for letting her guard down in a serious game like this.
