In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is to kill the Mafia.
At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while everyone else will only know their own role.
The game has two phases, the first of which is Day. During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it becomes Night.
During the Night, the thread is locked and no one can talk publicly. The Mafia, however, can speak to each other privately to plot strategy and decide who to murder before the next Day begins. In this way, they can silence members of the Town who are threats to them. At the end of the Night, the murder is carried out and another Day begins. In effect, the Town gets to kill someone, and then the Mafia gets to kill someone.
The game alternates between Day and Night until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else (or nothing can prevent the same).

I highly recommend newbies to look at the last two mafia games in order to get familiar with mafia.

Game Rules:

1. Participate in the game. Being inactive after receiving a warning causes you to get kicked or replaced.

2. Do not talk about the game with anyone outside this thread or the mafia night chat. Everything must be readable and unhidden.

3. Do not work against your team by game throwing.

4. All votes must be bolded to be counted. They must be placed at the start of a new line and must begin with "!".

5. If you quote someone, do not change their original message.

6. You may not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any PM messages from the moderator.

7. The day is over as soon as a vote majority is reached. Do not post after majority is reached.

8. Forum rules apply, however double-posting is allowed. You may not edit or delete your messages.

You must folllow the rules or may face a modkill. In the case you get banned on the forums, I reserve the right to replace you. Please keep in mind the spirit in which these were written, and know that looking for loopholes is a waste of time.

Prods:

During a day, I expect everyone to post here at least once every 24 hours. Players will be prodded after 24 hours of inactivity. Getting prodded causes you to get a * next to your name on the userlist. If you still don't post anything for over 48 hours, you will be replaced. PM messages and mafia chat do not count as activity. If your posts are found to not actually try to include content to further the game, they will not count towards resetting the prod timer.

Prods will be given to players on 08:00 PM UTC of every physical day, if
a) it's day in the game,
b) the day doesnt end in the next 24 hours,
c) and the player hasn't posted content since the last time prods were sent.

You guys are missing the point of this game. We're supposed to be bickering and accusing each other over reading everybody's tone. We're really not going to get anywhere without constant discussion and accusations, especially without any (effective) PRs to track down the mafia.

We should be figuring this out together instead of everyone going independent, defending own point and not listening to anyone else...

And we need to agree on a lynch target soon because the day is almost over. Not lynching anybody today would be a mistake -- we need to put pressure on the mafia through the only tool we have; lynches.

Funny enough, you want all of us to agree on a lynch of 1 person yet you say we should accuse each other..?

Funny enough, you want all of us to agree on a lynch of 1 person yet you say we should accuse each other..?

And how are we going to agree on a lynch without accusations and discussion? Are we just supposed to sit idly by singing campfire songs while the Mafia picks us off one by one? I really don't get what point you're trying to prove with your post as a whole. Of course we should be working together but that's hard with a group of 12 people, with none of which who trust one another. Welcome to forum mafia, it's chaotic and there's no avoiding it.

Calicara/Maxi123: I don't like how Calicara defended herself against a single pressure vote, she had the same behavior as a Chihuahua being poked with a stick. Was also quick at voting Rhazh. Her replacer, Maxi123, isn't doing much other than giving excuses.

I suggest you take a look at all pages and come with something decent.
TIP: Go to profile > display and set the number of posts per page to 75, it'll help.

ive read all pages (well almost)
guess ill re-read zoey's posts tho

Alright so it's apparent already that I'm a big dummy since both of my main reads were completely wrong, but even worse is that I don't have all that much to say regarding everybody else because of the tunnel vision I showcased on D2.

So instead of spending the next hour looking through the thread at things to pick at, I'm just gonna base most of my thoughts on the vote summary: https://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewt … 80#p578080

Anak - Somebody else said it who I forget but they said Anak has been playing it safe the duration of the game and I can see truth in that. What does it mean though? idk. He did vote Rhazh that one time but I wouldn't put it past him as a person to vote Rhazh just for his attitude towards the game.
Bobithan - hey thats mee
Creature - Honestly don't have much to say on Creature.
Evilbunny - I'm probably biased against him because he's been accusing me this entire time, but it's been without any reason other than having a "feeling". Also found it kind of weird that he needed to mention along with his vote towards Onjit that it's not his fault, but then again Onjit followed the same reasoning and he was town so idk
Hostage - I don't trust him -- no reason though, since he's basically been absent this entire time
Maxi123 - Voted for Onjit for like no reason at all which is super suspicious to me.
Pyromaniac - Don't have much to say on Pyro either. I'm not entirely convinced Pyro is town but that's where he's leaning for me
Zoey2070 - Kinda odd how she avoided pretty much all of D2 until the very end when we were finalizing the vote.

So far Zoey & Maxi are sticking out to me as mafia with Anak & Evilbunny a bit behind. The rest of you I don't really have much of an opinion on.

There are my thoughts.

it wouldnt be smart of me to push stuff on zoey if both of us were mafia

but most of us seem to agree that zoey is possible mafia
ill make the first step i guess?

So yes I agree with others should provide some readings, as she's been "too lazy" to before.
Maxi, your readings weren't very in depth. They didn't have that much more than just a couple of words. I wouldn't mind some good reasons for your thinking.
I don't think Evilbunny and Pyro have provided anything either?
@Creature sorry for that, typing that up took me a while

ik they werent in depth a lot
but im feeling like spending hour on an indepth research and pulling out everything possible from every page

wouldnt it be risky for one mafia to push against other one, not to mention that other one was suspected by some people?
at one point ive thought of this buddies thingy between hostage and zoey.. what if that "zoey is mafia" joke at D1 was a little drama they played out to... idk.. cause some chaos maybe? sounds crazy right

if i were mafia i would have lynched rhazh since there was the perfect opportunity to, he was literally one vote away from being lynched as a hardclaimed town. rhazh not defending himself was mostly confusion since idk it seemed highly probable things could go wrong v quickly and he's all chill w/ it like... ok bro

good point but he still died after that day. what if mafia decided not to help with lynch so they can personally kill him at night while the town mislynches someone else (zelda)? and it gave mafia even more profit because it gave rhazzle a chance to kill another town as a vigilante

You can still be pushing a lynch against your mafia partner to look like town. What's strange is that you only started suspecting Zoey when I listed you both as scum buddies.

tbh you guys are jumping to conclusions.but thsts just me.creature is acting like a pro mafia playernobody is scummy enough to lynch,maxi is a bit scummy,cali eas defending herself and maxi is attacking others,although nothing weird

well im attacking/accusing others cause we have to find mafia right

and yeah i dont like how creature is acting like a pro carrying player here either, maybe he is trying to use that to cover his mafia role?

imo mafia will do a provocative kill, something like this:
player A (town) accuses player B (town)
player A gets killed by mafia
everyone thinks player B is mafia and killed player A to retaliate or get rid of accusations
everyone lynches player B
2 townies gone

town rolecop is a backup role so thats not even neccessary for them if they keep their personalities hidden
