In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is to kill the Mafia.
At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while everyone else will only know their own role.
The game has two phases, the first of which is Day. During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it becomes Night.
During the Night, the thread is locked and no one can talk publicly. The Mafia, however, can speak to each other privately to plot strategy and decide who to murder before the next Day begins. In this way, they can silence members of the Town who are threats to them. At the end of the Night, the murder is carried out and another Day begins. In effect, the Town gets to kill someone, and then the Mafia gets to kill someone.
The game alternates between Day and Night until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else (or nothing can prevent the same).

I highly recommend newbies to look at the last two mafia games in order to get familiar with mafia.

Game Rules:

1. Participate in the game. Being inactive after receiving a warning causes you to get kicked or replaced.

2. Do not talk about the game with anyone outside this thread or the mafia night chat. Everything must be readable and unhidden.

3. Do not work against your team by game throwing.

4. All votes must be bolded to be counted. They must be placed at the start of a new line and must begin with "!".

5. If you quote someone, do not change their original message.

6. You may not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any PM messages from the moderator.

7. The day is over as soon as a vote majority is reached. Do not post after majority is reached.

8. Forum rules apply, however double-posting is allowed. You may not edit or delete your messages.

You must folllow the rules or may face a modkill. In the case you get banned on the forums, I reserve the right to replace you. Please keep in mind the spirit in which these were written, and know that looking for loopholes is a waste of time.

Prods:

During a day, I expect everyone to post here at least once every 24 hours. Players will be prodded after 24 hours of inactivity. Getting prodded causes you to get a * next to your name on the userlist. If you still don't post anything for over 48 hours, you will be replaced. PM messages and mafia chat do not count as activity. If your posts are found to not actually try to include content to further the game, they will not count towards resetting the prod timer.

Prods will be given to players on 08:00 PM UTC of every physical day, if
a) it's day in the game,
b) the day doesnt end in the next 24 hours,
c) and the player hasn't posted content since the last time prods were sent.

There shouldn't be anything else that could have happened to any of us unless I was Vigged and I didn't know it (Proc said he won't say if someone is attacked in jail).

Zoey why do you say that? You know that doesn't mean anything. You know how the Mafia killing mechanic is here, so me being roleblocked confirms nothing. Why did you feel the need to bring it up?

Considering Proc's table, since you were kidnapped you couldn't have killed Jonathan. You could still be a mafia though.
That goes for anyone really.

Opens up by stating the obvious and making a gigantic non alignment indicative fail. Proceeds to lightly push against Hostage for his "joke" on Zoey's alignment. Accepts that it's a joke from Hostage and doesn't take a stance against him. Seemed a bit too weak of a push on him though. I'm also not a fan of how he repeats what Zoey said, espically with how what Zoey said doesn't mean much to begin with. His vote against me seems sudden and out of nowhere, and he later says it's because I'm too demanding. I'll admit I wasn't making the best defense for myself yesterday, but I feel that he wants to post without any real content to appear to not be inactive.

Verdict:Moderate scum, potentially allied with Zoey

Responses first, than reads later, as otherwise too many things might have been posted for me to catch up lmao.

Anak: Hasn't been contributing much, was quick to get on the wagon against Rhazh and didn't provide much reasoning. Can't really say much because Anak wasn't active enough.

Anak flip flopped hard the other day. This makes it hard to read. He has been playing very safe, which as Rhaz refused to let go, is often what a mafia does. I'm slightly suspicious of him.

Firstly, and I'm sure I've said this before, I do live in the UK, which has a vastly different timezone to that of the Americas. I do have to sleep, go to school, etc. so I may not post that often, or at least whilst there is major discussion going on. In fact, when I was ready to post I woke up to see that the day was over and ZeldaXD had been lynched.
Considering ZeldaXD was voted out for being inactive (which is an understandable vote) and yet he was town, I wouldn't say that all inactive people (inluding myself apparently) are scum. I wouldn't have thought I'm massively inactive either.

Can someone explain to me this whole posting vs "posting" business? I would've have thought I've actually contributed here.

Once again, my mistake for not outright stating why I voted Rhazh. I found him to be very stubborn, controlling, and demanding, and it made sense to me for him to be mafia with the way he acted. If "flip flopped" means having removed my vote from him, well, no one else seemed to claim vigilante, so it wouldn't make much sense to leave it there. He had to be vigilante, (and he was) so I unvoted. I suppose I unvoted until someone else claimed, but vigilante seems like a big role to claim. My reasoning was that we had all posted after Rhazh claimed that, we all saw the post at the time, and yet no one else claimed, so he couldn't have been mafia.

To clear up: what Evilbunny was talking  about is that, say Rhazh was mafia, the vigilante may not have spoken up as they would have shot him in the night. I found that to be unlikely, as it would have made more sense for the "real" vigilante to have spoken up at the time, get Rhazh voted off, taking out one of the mafia, and shooting once more in the night before getting killed, (as Pyro said, Rhazh would have not survived the night, so it would be the same here) with the possibility of taking down another mafia. Even if they didn't, we would have more time to vote correctly than we do now.

Votes Onjit for inactivity/lack of discussion. Defends Rhazh well within reason throughout. Opposes Evilbunny and Onjit once again. Then separates Onjit and Evilbunny, mainly going for Onjit. Mentions Zelda again, then votes him. Mentions Zoey. Switches vote to Onjit, then wuickly backto Zelda.

Overall not much on him, but I don't think he's too bad at all.

Outright states he doesn't trust inactive people. I do agree where Rhazh said he was "fishing for Zoey's role". Nobody's going to say they're mafia, so I don't know why he even asked. He was the first to say Rhazh was being aggressive, then says this is his normal behaviour. Against Calicara for, uh, "exploding". Notes my inactivity, which now reading back I do see is apparent. Doesn't hold up to his opening statement of immediately voting inactive players however. Targets Calicara, Hostage, Onjit, and Zelda, mainly for defensiveness and inactivity. Joins Pyro voting for Zoey out of nowhere, then unvotes asking for reads, so I assume that was a pressure vote like Rhazh with Calicara. I'd love to know where he was going with this post.

I'm somewhat sketchy with him due to a few things he's said. I'm not sure where to pinpoint him exactly, despite having more on him than others. I'd keep an eye on him.

Agrees with Creature on inactive people, and was in fact among the first to vote of Zelda. Also mentions Rhazh is aggressive, but without any proper opinion on it, which seems kind of useless. Accuses (I use the word lightly) Bobithan without any reason to it, sides with Calicara and Hostage on the basis that they defended themselves when others had also done that, and that isn't necessarily a town trait I would think? Finally gives proper opinion on Rhazh, saying that's just his nature. Doesn't exactly know who to vote, nor does he have any real reads or opinions on anyone. The Zoey joke has worn off for him by now. Mentions Pyro and Zelda. Still thinks Bobithan is sketchy without reasoning, and votes Zelda on inactivity. Correctly predicts Rhazh shooting Onjit whilst asking him not to, and presses on Zelda, then yet unvoted. Defends himself and Onjit and also joins in on the sarcastic posting which isn't exactly helpful. He doesn't exactly oppose when Onjit accuses Rhazh of being mafia way after his hardclaim. Brings up Creature's vote on Zoey, although it seemed irrelevant anyways. Randomly mentions the importance of lynches. Indirectly accuses Rhazh himself, years after his hardclaim. Votes Zelda again.

I'm placing my suspicion on him. A lot of what he's said isn't exactly helping his case, and although trying to defend himself, it doesn't seem in an exactly town manner. Although Onjit was town, they way he defended himself and Onjit... I didn't like it.

That Zoey joke went on for a good couple of pages. Whilst I believe it was a joke, it seems... in poor taste? He seemed quite serious during. I feel like his discussion with Zoey was more making rationalisations than anything else. Votes Calicara without much reason, then unvotes without much reason. Votes Onjit, agreeing with Bobithan. Say that Rhazh lacks reads and that lynching him would make it easier for town, even if he's on the same side, which seems suspicious, considering Rhazh has made many reads before that post. He then proceeds to vote Rhazh. Unvotes after reading everything.

Not too much to say either. I'm placing some suspicion on him due to the, I suppose, the joke as well as some meaningless votes/posts, but whether he's a threat or not I can't decide.

He hasn't been in the game for long, however his behaviour seems pretty different to Calicara's? Calicara started off with acknowledging she was inactive, and, whilst no one else mentioned it at all, posted saying not to meta it. Seems kind of irrelevant if it was never brought up. Then when voted, she immediately called it rude. Despite Rhazh telling her he just wanted her to post, she still goes against it, and then votes him. I find this rather unnecessary as there wasn't much discussion to give either person a good read, despite that being what the vote prompted. Then unvotes Rhazh and votes Hostage, not explaining that either. If she wasn't out to kill anyone then why did she vote rather than just unvoting?
Then Maxi joins, unvotes Hostage, doesn't really have anything to say. Understandable. Favours voting onjit to get it over with? Not sure on that. Doesn't seem to understand the point of accusations. Then votes Onjit in favour of a majority vote, rather than any plausible reason (even though he claims to have read back).

Not much to say on Maxi, but compared with Calicara, he doesn't seem like he's town affiliated. All this togetherness speak seems forced, as if trying to pass for town so hardly.

Lynching wasn't allowed on D1 was it? Either way, Pyro opposed it, yet pointed out Rhazh's aggressiveness. Formed his own opinions so didn't seem to be affiliated with Creature at that point. Thought the Zoey joke was just a joke. Seems on Calicara's side when she was voted. Questions Onjit, defends Hostage, votes Rhazh and connects Zoey to him, also wants to go for Calicara despite defending her earlier. Adamant on voting Rhazh, questions Calicara again. (I honestly have no idea where Rhazh got the "lying to new players" thing. Am I missing something or?) Doesn't immediately unvote Rhazh, but it did seem quite early to as there would have been no time for any other claims. Very adamant, though, on leaving his vote there. Disregards he could get a shot off and says that Rhazh will die either way. Very defensive/argumentative now that I look back on posts, then makes multiple sarcastic posts as soon as he gets voted in a childish manner. Rhazh mentioned he thought him as an inexperienced town member or something like that, which I do sort of agree with, but I'm still uneas on Pyro. Finally unvotes but still in a sarcastic manner. Then, out of nowhere, votes Zoey! Still no explanation for that, still accusing Rhazh. Explains later that it was because she opposed him. Votes Onjit, in favour of majority as well? Switches to Zelda.

I don't know whether the way he behaves is of an "inexperienced town" or not, but I don't like how he's playing. I think most of us have mentioned how Rhazh has been aggressive, Pyro included, but haven't mentioned how Pyro has been aggressive too. He's had a rather erratic way of voting. I'm placing suspicion on him.

Understandably inactive and defending herself due to Hostage's joke. I'm wondering would her inactivity had been brought up so quickly/in the same manner without it? I've noticed she says "whatever" a lot. Mention Rhazh could still have been mafia without killing Johnathan, but it's unlikely. Mentions Rhazh is aggressive after I do, but due to his nature rather than role, so she doesn't seem to support the notion that this qualifies him as a mafia. Votes Hostage without reason in the same post, then explains it was because everyone else was voting, which seems a bit sketchy, although understandable due to the Zoey joke. I think, though, if most people had shaken that off by then, why hadn't Zoey? Accuses Calicara, points out Rhazh isn't defending himself. Unvotes Hostage, votes Pyro due to the lying/vig argument. Votes Onjit without much reason, switches to Zelda.

I wouldn't affiliate her with Pyro, but the way she's behaved is sketchy. Although it's kind of her personality to be like "w/e" and all that, it doesn't seem usual. As well as that, there are some things that don't seem to quite match up.
