I have mixed feelings with the blog.

I think I would like it more if the header wasn't so huge and the entire body was shifted to the left more.

I don't like the new blog at all. I don't see how it in any way reflects the design of the game itself. Furthermore I agree with Smitty, it needs to be shifted more to the left.

So the blog looks better in terms of orientation, but I'm not understanding the style? The Everybody Edits web page has a unique and interesting design, why isn't the blog more of a reflection of the EE website like the forums are? Sure, the blog looks nice on it's own, but it would be better if it had more elements which reminded me of EE, not a microsoft word doc.

Well, about the blog :

It is wordpress powered, but there's a catch :

You have two way to create a wordpress blog :
1) You install wordpress from an archive on your own website
2) You create a blog on the wordpress website

The first option is the best, because this way you can install themes that you can fully customize, you have access to CSS, extensions and plugins for your blog, and you have created your own database on your website, with an ftp access.
The second option is terrible : You are limited to a few themes with no customization options, no access to css, no extensions and plugins, and you have an option to PAY to have acces to what the other option offer.

Sadly for EE, Chris started a blog on wordpress.com and ended up with the second option.

I've been trying to find some nice themes that would fit EE within the small selection of free themes we have, but none of them is convincing. I found one, but it was dull and not really good looking. Jawapa decided to pick another theme he liked - and his choice is nice considering the what we have to choose from, but we have no options whatsoever to customize anything.

So we will have to deal with a "meh" design for the blog. :/
