Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I was just thinking of posting this exact thing today, because I had this exact problem today. It's almost like the world revolves around me :oooo . But yeah, idk what causes this, but I don't like it.

Which is why we should be able to blacklist certain forums, it would really help by not sifting through things and thinking why you spent your time reading/clicking things you weren't even interested in.
Edit: I also agree the already read thing needs to be fixed also, many times it doesn't count it even after refresh, but that might be because I open things in new tabs and not through the same tab.

I would be happy to wake up and see "Bots and Programming" and "Bug Reports" boards dissappeared.

This is a false statement.

i just wish they would merge game suggestions and game graphic suggestions

bug reports can be gone

bots and programming is actually quite useful; there are some cool bots in there

No, there's just people asking for bot and questions. Can't they make their programming forum?

Well people ask questions for a reason.

Re: mark this forum as read

tl;dr: Session cookies. The same would happen if you opened up the forums in another browser. I've tried a database-based topic tracking system and it hasn't worked out yet. To mark everything as read, either wait for the forums to count you as having gone away or log out and back in.

Please hold them as session cookies, as they can indicate that you haven't read some topics in another devices.

Or make it an option on profile settings.

You're fine, cookies don't transfer between devices/browsers. The only affect changing to not-session cookies would have would be to make the same browser on the same computer not forget that some topics are read.

@Different
on this note, I think I've met a few times where I'd miss a few new posts because of this forum "session cookie timeout period" not lapsing in time.

kinda bothers me

a little
