You can easily expand on pretty much anything, and it doesn't really add anything to the discussion.
Examples:
"No." vs "No, because x." The latter adds a lot more to the topic at hand than just a one-word thing. It's like writing an essay for school; restate the question/topic. There's no reason to be concise when we're on a forum as opposed to like... IRC.
