I completely agree, I'm fed up of people leaving.. What did you expect? This is "beta" after all, why do people think it's gonna be bug free all the time,

Although I'm not into the new physics and the fact that so many art levels have been destroyed, I must say it's a decent update. Ever since I started playing EE, I've wanted backgrounds, and here they are.
I also love the polished angel smiley, the new gravity/key/coin graphics, and the shadows.
