Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: What's under ctrl+v?

On Art:
You look at the painting from a distance. You decide to take a closer look. You move slowly, as not to disturb the artwork. Your palms are sweaty, knees heavy, stomach churning from leftover spaghetti, but wait! One more step and you cross the big black line. Once the heel of your loafers hover over the No-Zone, you’re out and away from the gallery. But the picture, you’re mesmerized, you want it, you want to take it, you want to take it and hang it in your living room so the tupperware party guests can say, “Oh, what a marvelous painting you have!”. But once you step over that demonic demarcation, the feeling of awe is gone. But it’s beautiful; stupefying; you want to take it. You can’t help yourself so you roll up your sleeves and-
BAAAAAAAARRRRIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!!!
“STEP AWAY FROM THE PAINTING!”
You go SMACK onto the floor while security wraps your wrists in a metallic coil. Better luck next time, chump.
THE FRAME
In this incredible and award-winning analysis, we will identify multiple inconsistencies in the ideology of Art and why it is slowly destroying humanity’s understanding of it.

To begin, I ask of you to picture a fire hydrant. It’s simply a fire hydrant, nothing special of it. Now, place a frame around. What does it turn into? A photo at a gallery? A picture in a photography blog? What is this phenomenon, when placing a frame around an object, makes it appear superior than its non-framed predecessor?
The frame is a golden ring.
Wear a golden ring in public, and you’ll turn into a mob boss. You’ll turn into a respected business man. You’ll turn into a rich kid living uptown.
The frame is a golden ring.
We’ve all linked intricate paintings to frames, so we judge something as superior simply because of its frame. I’m sure more people would pay attention to a photograph of a brick wall rather than an actual brick wall leaning against the street.
Take a look at Adolf Hitler; people think of him as the worst person ever to exist, but if you skim away all his faults, he is a genius. He was able to turn from an avid painter into the leader of one of the world’s largest superpowers. That will probably never happen in the time we are in.
Now think of an alien. I bet you thought of a skinny grey man with almond eyes (or something close to that).
My point is, humankind has linked the frame to art for so long our brains are wired to this fact. This is why putting something in a frame generates emotions in a person, unlike something from the nearby dumpster.
ARTISTIC EXPRESSION
Artistic expression is anything that has a clear link to Art. Ranging from oil painting to acting to sound design, it is what indicates an emotional response to something. Let’s take a melancholic drawing in blue hue and compare it to a bouncy drawing with pink and red fluttering about. The first drawing may illustrate a feeling of grief or oblivion, while the second example may bring about a giddy feeling.

ARTISTIC BIAS
Artistic bias is to favor Art or a branch of Art over other subjects. An art magazine that clearly prefers abstract art over other forms is in Artistic Bias. A painter who believes watercolor artworks are better than oils is in Artistic Bias.
ARTISTIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Artists don’t have responsibilities. They can do whatever they want to.
The same goes for engineers and software developers. They aren’t obliged to help out world. They may spend their entire lives building pumpkin catapults if they chose to.
CENSORSHIP
    Censorship is an interesting concept.
Censoring nudity is a respectable action, but censoring hair is odd and unusual.
Censoring a website is reasonable, but censoring the Internet is some crazy idea developed by the government.
Censorship is the act of expunging data that is sensitive or in violating to the government.
Censorship is only viable if the information creates harm in some way. If you absolutely hate tomatoes, censoring tomatoes does not cause any good except for yourself.
