Place the plate over the dripping water again.
Take the key and do Dragonranger's action.
After that, take the triangular block, could be a key for something else.

Eh, he stated the chest was specifically locked.
Pretty sure his trying to direct us a certain way with the "No." to certain things, stating things like the table shaking (which we should probably solve) and not stating other things, at least not detailed like some other things, like the strange device

To clarify a few things:
-The chest is locked
-I'm saying "No." to things like "Transform into Bear Grylls" and other responses that do not help
-There is no secret behind the table shaking, i'm making the gifs frame by frame and occasionally things don't line up
-Anything that isn't detailed is because no-one has tried to examine it closer.
Hope that helps, I'll update the game when I have time later.
