Does stairs that are not made of doors, gates, or keys violate the rules? If so, why?

The "no stairs" rule refers to levels that are purely staircases. There's nothing wrong with having staircases in your level if they fit the theme.

This is all I have to say, myself.

- If any of the following items are included in your map, it will be disqualified to ensure that all entries are of high quality:
       Smilies
       Sprite art from other games
       Imported/animated art
       Bosses
       Stairs
       Minigame boxes
. . .

- Art and minigames must blend in seamlessly with each other. What this means is that we?d for example prefer not to see a bunch of completely black Minigame boxes surrounding a piece of beautiful art. Make them blend together!

My second question is somewhat unrelated to this
RPGMaster2000, why are you always in spooky forest RPG but never speak?

Quick question. Is the trophy a brick that can be used as much as you want? Or does it have a special action to it like the diamond? Or both?

It's just like a decoration.   You can use it as much as you want, but you can't stand on it or anything.
