Vacation and Holiday do actually mean the same thing.
By Vacation and Holiday I mean something most people do during summer e.g Go to a different country
I don't mean Christmas, Easter etc

As for Ice pop or Popsicle, I googled those and both came up with the same images, I basically mean this :

The food in question is this :
Most of the times when going to Mc Donalds I hear people ordering 'Chips' and getting this.
I know they are two different things in America but that's why its called American or British, because In Britain, what you would call 'Chips' we call 'Crisps'

Not particularly You wouldn't hear the word 'shovel' in Britain, because I asked about this once and got strange looks so when I said 'That thing you use to dig ground' they all laughed and told me it was called a spade.
Again, this is British or American, so ofc in America it would be different things...

Like I said this actually isn't true if you are in Britain.
Vacation in America often means a break away, which also applies for Holiday in Britain.
Holiday, if you look in a dictionary is both a noun and a verb. At least it is in the British dictionary.
