Why are there so many people applying when there isn't even a server o.o

I've pretty much given up, until someone can even make an effort to help me (someone that knows how to fix it).

The error doesn't seem like something that can be fixed.

Put all the necessary folders and applications into the .craftbukkit jar, click "Start Craftbukkit" or whatever.

"Could not run file because the folder is unable to be reached" (I'm paraphrasing, of course).

It's trying to reach what's right next to it.

I've tried putting it in a new folder, same error. I've tried putting it in the .craftbukkit, same error. I've tried putting it in the old server's folder, same error.

I've run out of options. Either their version is corrupted or I did something wrong. The only thing I did was download what they gave me and put it into a folder, then ran it. Where am I making a mistake? I have no idea.

They even have cute little instructions:

Step 1. Click on "Latest CraftBukkit Download". This will take you to the latest recommended download of CraftBukkit. Make sure to save it to the folder that the "CraftBukkit Starter" file is in.
Step 2. To start your server, click on "CraftBukkit Starter".
Step 3. Enjoy! Make sure your server is updated!

I find it scary how you immediately know when the server is up.

It's not for you though, it for the clan I'm in. When I figure out how to do multiworlds I'll be more than happy to open it up to you guys too.

I find it scary how you immediately know when the server is up.

All you have to do is click Multiplayer.

How are you mature: I am the minecraft-friendinator9000. You've got to be mature to get friends.
How are you ethical: Haven't been banned from a server, thats kind of ethical I guess.
How are you respectful: I gave my friend a bit of my mars bars or something everyday when school was on.

I'll take a break from trying to convince myself to consider trying to do work on my server and play an operational one with over 9000 less issues than Bukkit ones tend to have (especially around update time).

How are you mature: I don't see a reason to be a derp at any time or place anywhere ever. I don't really know what you're looking for here.
How are you ethical: Killing people is wrong. Following the people (read:person) that posted above me, the only time I ever got banned from a server is when I was having a snowball fight and the server owner got angry at me for giving people creative mode in order to build their forts.
How are you respectful: If someone's more influential than myself than I figure it's my duty to obey.

I really wish I had a computer that actually worked well enough for this stuff. Apparently one gig ram used to be a lot.

How are you mature: A lot of people say I'm pretty mature for my age. (Not saying how old I am however) I don't spam or yell, start unneeded fights, or act like an all around noob.
How are you ethical: I don't kill others unless they give me a reason to. I'm usually fun to hang around with. The only time I was banned from a server was when my friend and I, plus 2 other people, thought it would be hilarious to build a nuke tower. (Tekkit server)
We ended up crashing it for 20 minutes. No I won't do anything like that again.
How are you respectful: I have good manners, I help people, and I can have fun. I'm not stuck up like people I've seen on servers.
