Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Echo's Rants.

Asperger's Syndrome recently also seems to be huge thing that people diagnose themselves with. It's really annoying because they so obviously don't. UGH!

Uhhh.

Today I was walking down the road minding my own business, just strolling along, suddenly before my eyes there was a group of   6 or 7, 16-17 year olds.   they said "Come on man, fight us!" and wouldn't stop saying that, and they kept giving me dirty looks and tried to be intimidating, I simply replied "I am not scared of you, and I wish do not want hurt you guys" one boy said "Come one dude your a right p*ssy, you're too scared to fight us, p*ssy", I really didn't understand why they wanted their face decimated, I simply replied "Don't mistake kindness for weakness, I DON'T want to hurt you, bye" yet they really wanted me to fight them. What a bunch of morons, Why on earth would anyone ask to fight a stranger? For all they know, I could work out 3-4 times a week, and do martial arts, oh wait. I can. I really don't understand the reasoning of which they want a stranger to beat them up, I refused like a good person.

They don't do it for a fight, they do it for a laugh.

They were either looking for attention or were having a bad day and wanted to try and make someone else feel bad too.

^This is what's known as "idiots". And did you say 6-7 year olds!? I can sort of understand 16-18, that's just adolescant stupidity, like all people, but 6-7? The older people had better be their big brothers. Even then, where are their parents? If I was a parent of a little kid like that, I wouldn't let their big brother take them out on the street with their "bros". Idiot parents, idiot kids, idiot world.

No, it's just the people who have commented have given their opinion. Wait a day for some more.

Re: Echo's Rants.

You nailed everything in your original post. I especially like the self diagnosis one. It seems that in the past 5 years, every kid and his mother now has ADHD. Instead of "I'm stupid and don't want to pay attention", it's "I have ADHD".

^This annoys me. With a lot of people (like me) you can't even tell they have ADD or ADHD because they're on meds or they can keep it under control. If you can't sit still for five minutes, it means you need to stop doing weed, nub, not that you have ADHD.

Weed doesn't make you move around. ADHD doesn't exist.

Re: Echo's Rants.

I meant meth, and weed can make you move around as well so either works, anyway.
ADHD exists. Quit being a nubby nub.

Re: Echo's Rants.

One of my friends has ADHD, and it's completely real. He takes meds and such, so why would anyone take meds for a condition that doesn't exist?

Great. You just queued for Treejoe to shoot the bull about how pharmacies and doctors are greedy and are just trying to misdiagnose people to make more money.

Re: Echo's Rants.

I know so many people with ADHD (at one point in my life I was thought to have had it), and it's not really much of a joke. It's hard for themselves and their families, saying ADHD doesn't exist is an insult to them and their families.

No, why would I think that? This is just another example as to why I dislike a large proportion of EE's community.

I watched a documentary about ADHD, I can't find it but it said that in areas where there more tests, ADHD diagnoses increased. And I don't think people should drug up kids to make them pay attention, it's just an example of how personalities are squished out in schools, so they will conform. I've been school of course, and people who mess around will pay attention in class if you just use your brain to teach them.

I'm not sure why ADHD is often diagnosed, I haven't looked at any reasons in particular. But it's probably some media trend that is taken too seriously.

I also think it's sad as to why anybody would support kids being zombified, I sure as hell wouldn't.

Re: Echo's Rants.

I definitely felt zombified when I was on ADHD meds. Several people described me as "limp and f***ing lifeless".

BTW, the meds themselves would only zombify ADHD kids. They're stimulants, like caffeine. Caffeine has the same effect as ADD/ADHD meds, but the meds last longer. I don't know what it would be like if you gave a normal kid some ADHD meds, but it'd probably be like caffeine times a thousand.

Don't take a drug which destroys a personality and mass conformism.

Re: Echo's Rants.

It helped while I was on it. Now I have other methods of dealing with it, but before I had those I was failing in a lot of classes because I couldn't pay attention to the paper that was sitting right in front of me.

Drugs should still always be a last resort.

Re: Echo's Rants.

It WAS. I was failing, I probably would've flunked. I couldn't pay attention to the work sitting right in front of me. Even when I tried hard to focus, 10 seconds later I'd catch myself daydreaming again, or tapping out one of the drumline cadences instead of doing my work. The zombification and loss of appetite was worth not having to repeat a grade unnecessarily.
