Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

A very important question (for real this time)

"Picture your city 150 years in the future with 4 times the population. Imagine how your neighbourhood will need to change to create better spaces and places for the future"

Basically this is for a "pre-selection activity" that I have to complete to get into the University course I want (Architecture).

I need ideas. Be as creative as you want (in fact, the more creative/outside-the-box the better).

I think it's because in my interview, when questioned about the practicality of my idea, I said "FUTURE TECHNOLOGY" while waving my hand like I was a Jedi.

The government would coexist along with it's population in a Social Democracy. Communal apartments would be built.
Instead of worrying about individual buildings, they will become less convoluted in structure and built for function rather than fashion. Life would shift from caring about the lives of individual people, to caring about the population as whole. All the buildings would be run on green or renewable energy.
At least, this would be my utopian progression of society...

Chicago Il. ~ 2014 ~ Around 2.7 million
Chicago Il. ~ 2164 - Around 10.8 million
Welp. The main concern with this number is that Chicago just currently isn't big enough to even imagine fitting this many people in it. The only realistic possibilities would be 1) removing factories from the outer city limits to make more property available, 2) adding more high rise apartments downtown to accommodate the large amount of people, or the more creative 3) building into Lake Michigan communities on the water that could house people using futuristic technology.

I remember a friend told me he had to describe what was going on in an image much like this one, for a similar type of test.

He said they were making a movie set, while all the other people said something deep, and he got in and they didn't

I was actually about to post something similar...

Scientists are already finding ways to create living standards on the moon. I am almost 80% sure that in 150 years time, the wealthy people would be able to move to live on the moon.
Actually found this out from List 25... not Vsause.

As somebody who does not live in a city, my neighborhood could probably handle four times the population pretty easily, especially considering how spaced out each house is.

NASA better start finding other habitable planets to live on because 4x the population would be an incredible size and overcrowding!
