Well, this is a very nice suggestion. We should be able to save the smiley quick select bar, so we wouldn't have to click so much for reaching our most used smileys. And the hotkeys should be 'F1', 'F2', and 'F3'. Anyways, +REP!

It would be better if you changed smileys with Q And E

Example: (O = Smiley) ([O] = Chosen smiley)

[O]OOOOOOO

Press E.

O[O]OOOOOO

Press Q

[O]OOOOOOO

Press Q again!

OOOOOOO[O]! Whadya think?

F1 F2 and F3 wouldn't work I bet if anything it would be 1234...etc.

Yeah this is an amazing idea!

The only thing I would suggest (as well as some other people here), would be the keyboard shortcuts changed from being 123 to something else...

Other than that, it is a great time saving idea!
